This is me in 2009 playing Knights of the Old Republic on my original Xbox while on a three way phone call with my best friends.
Bioware really meant something to me. They defined storytelling & worldbuilding in games from my earliest days playing. I can't believe it's over.

I could probably scroll for hours and continue reading the words of support for the studio, the legacy, and the impact that BioWare has had on you. It means so much to us. There is so much talent on this team of of OGs, so if you are aware of any roles, please send them. I will personally vouch for everyone in my crew.
As for me:
At least i don't have to call in sick when GTA 6 comes out.
The last time Dragon Age had any aura at all was when The Veilguard was still called "Dreadwolf".
I guess it's fitting. Everything I thought the game would be fell under that name, and everything we actually got went by another.

If Mass Effect and Dragon Age can be sold, I hope they will be.
These would be my ideal picks:
Mass Effect ---> Owlcat Games
Dragon Age ---> Larian Studios
The problem is, I'm not sure why two busy thriving studios like these would want another IP they didn't create themselves, especially ones that have likely been rung dry of any remaining juice. Larian has actively removed themselves from something like this already by leaving Baldur's Gate for their own Divinity.
As terrible as it is, if either of these legendary IP are resurrected, it'll most likely be by a huge passionless entity that only sees dollar signs.
BREAKING: The Mass Effect video game franchise may have come to an end with the shocking demise of BioWare, but IGN can exclusively reveal that its future on the small screen remains possible. Sources inside Prime Video have confirmed that the Mass Effect television series remains in development at Amazon MGM Studios. bit.ly/4zPa7w0

In 2016, we published potentially the largest single feature to ever appear in a printed issue of Game Informer magazine with a full oral history of the legendary studio, BioWare.
We've made that feature available online and free for the first time following reports of the studio's impending closure. gameinformer.com/feature/202…

This is not something I ever expected to see.
Larian and Bioware started their trajectories in the games industry at the same time and Bioware led the way in making RPGs big. It's almost unimaginable that we're now entering an era were the name Bioware won't show up anymore when discussing upcoming RPGs. What a loss for all of us.
Thank you for all the games. Thank you for the many hours of gameplay. Thank you for all the stories . You can be damned proud of what you achieved.
I hope you all land well.

This is sad news on multiple fronts - for those of us who worked there, for our friends and colleagues at BioWare who are impacted, and for fans who were looking forward to the next Mass Effect adventure.
I started my career at BioWare and will forever be grateful to the founders, Greg and Ray, for inviting me to join in BioWare's legendary journey. Its legacy will live on through those who were part of it and continue to create games through a passion for unforgettable stories, worlds and characters.

Cyberpunk 2077's Steam reviews have hit "Overwhelmingly positive" status once again, with 95% positive reviews over the last 30 days.
Cyberpunk has gone far beyond redeeming just itself and absolutely deserves to be hailed as one of the best games ever made. CDPR has nailed it.

Rest in peace, Bioware.
I'm sad for everyone losing their jobs, their time, being denied their passion, and having to wonder what's next. I want to make extremely clear. However, a part of me feels like this has been a long time coming. We all know Bioware hasn't been the same since the days we feel in love with them, and now more than a few studios are taking what they did and doing it better.
I hope everyone lands on their feet and finds a new work to be excited about. A legend has died today.
Exodus and The Expanse: Osiris Reborn will carry the torch.
