But ethanol is incredibly useful in skincare formulations! Especially in: ☝🏾formulating lightweight products so they don’t feel heavy + icky (SPF!!!!) ✌🏾 dissolving ingredients that are not water-solvable, like salicylic acid

While it’s possible for skin to be particularly sensitive to ethanol, It’s *more* common is having skin that’s been sensitized for other reasons, such as dehydration. Sensitized skin will react to many different things, including ethanol. Read more: whatamud.com/blog/alcohol-sk…
