Seeding the Cereals Event site with grass, the first sugar beet goes in the factory and as predicted, the beet crop is not good, you canβt grow crops without water.

Lincoln play Burnley on Saturday in the Championship. The pair last met in the FA Cup fifth round in 2017. Burnley were in the Premier League, Lincoln were in the National League. You know the rest...

UK beet harvesting continues with very disappointing yields. Acreage forecasts for the 2027 crop will be difficult to gauge with a recent rebound in world sugar prices likely to benefit forward beet price calculations.

Lifted our first field of sugar beet on Thursday and itβs now in the factory being made into π¬π§ sugar. As predicted a few weeks ago, 24 x 29 ton loads from 30 acres means we will lose a big chunk of money with the crop this year. π

Iβm genuinely interested in everyoneβs views on this one!
The Government has been consulting on restricting the noisiest fireworks sold to the public, while allowing professional displays to continue.
I love a beautiful display, but living on a farm, I know how frightening those enormous bangs can be for horses, livestock, pets and wildlife.
Should fireworks be limited to organised displays? Are we legislating the fun out of life, or is it time for a change? And what about those wonderful drone shows? A kinder alternative, perhaps?
Surely thereβs a happy middle ground somewhere? @NaturalEngland @TheFarmingForum @VictoriaAtkins @wheat_daddy @MartinDaubney @TWBFarms @ConRuralForum

The British Pork market is in a really difficult place and farming families are on the edge. Behind every pig is a farming family getting up every morning, caring for their animals and trying desperately to make the numbers work. For many, pigs are now worth less than they cost to produce. So when youβre shopping this week, please look for British pork. A small choice at the till can mean an awful lot to a farming family. @agricontract @wheat_daddy @loosecollie @NoFarmsNoFoods @JeremyClarkson
Our UK pig sector is in a worse position now than ever, this video is from FOUR years ago @DefraGovUK calling out the supply chain.
Trying to put things in place but itβs all failed because of corporatism, mergers, selling off our high animal welfare standards to imports

British farmers deserve better than being continually sacrificed on the altar of political ideology.
Since Brexit, the UK has had the freedom to make its own decisions on plant protection products and agricultural regulations, rather than automatically following every EU decision. That flexibility matters because British farmers face different crops, climates and growing conditions.
New research warns that closer alignment with EU rules on crop protection could reduce the products available to UK growers, cutting farm incomes and lowering production of key crops such as wheat, potatoes, fruit and vegetables.
Read the research for yourself:

So before Andy Burnham talks about taking Britain further back into Europe, he should answer one simple question:
What will it mean for British farmers and our food security?
Brexit has given the UK the ability to make regulations that reflect the needs of our own agricultural industry.
That freedom must never be handed back.
Of course, the Tories failed miserably in the overall Brexit deal (if you can even call it a deal) and there is so much more to do across the whole industry - abolish the immoral family farm tax, lower energy costs, reduce red tape, fight for fair pricing and make British farming profitable and Reform UK will! π©΅
We will always stand up for British farming. π¬π§π
