I'm a retired UPS guy of 43 years, and before that I was in the USAF. I'm a husband, father, and grandfather. I'm also a lifelong Christian conservative who stands with MAGA, MAHA, and the American way. I study the Bible. It is God's word, period. I believe in the supremacy of the United States Constitution as the founders laid it out. I post original takes and some articles, and algorithm analysis. I post a lot of veteran stories to give them the attention they deserve. They deserve far more than that, but that's all I can do on X. I love finely crafted beer by local brewers. You might say I'm a beer snob, but I won't judge you if you simply like the factory beers. It's all good, it's beer. Patriots are always welcome on my page, whether as mutuals, commentary, or both. I block bots and burner accounts, both foreign and domestic, who try to follow me or attack me on my page. Everybody else I judge by the feed. If your feed is suspicious or you post from the left, you get kicked to the curb. If you never post, then I'm probably not going to follow back. If you're a reply-only account, you're welcome to follow, but I probably won't follow back. The only reason to follow an account is to see their posts. If you never post, there is no need. If you're here for real talk and the occasional fired-up run-on about our love for this country, pull up a chair. If you like to talk the algorithm and what makes X tick, then we can have a conversation. I like to talk about my genealogy research of my family and using Grok Bot to get that done. Absolutely no DMs without permission. All others get deleted. Put a link in the DM and you're blocked. No crypto. No coins. No "opportunities." Don't ask. I also need my coffee in the morning, so don't be surprised if I start the day grumpy. Though I'm mostly peaceful. I'm putting more about my experience in the first reply if you're curious. If not, that's fine, have a nice day.

If I was the Energizer Bunny I could keep going all night. But I'm not, so it's off to embrace my charging pillow for eight hours. See you next time at coffee time. 😴 💤 🛏

RedState's Ben Sellers (@realbensellers) went through his followers and found that about a quarter of them were completely fake. He writes that he used to think more followers of any kind could only help. After his own research he now believes the fake ones hurt, because engagement seems to be measured against your total follower count. He quotes @grok, who says: "They don't trigger a direct penalty per X's published For You algorithm code. But inactive bots provide zero engagement signals. Posts hit your followers first; silence there weakens the early reactions the system uses to decide wider distribution. Real engagement drives amplification." One of his fakes was a guy in Africa pretending to be a disabled U.S. Army veteran. Sellers says he grew, shaved and regrew a beard in nine days, then stopped posting. That one hits close to home for me as a veteran. Sellers also says an Australian call went out for government-controlled bot accounts to manipulate online talk and silence critics, a story he credits to Michael Shellenberger. His point is that we either put up with scam bots or hand governments the power to pick who is legitimate. I block bots and burner accounts, and this is one more reason to keep doing it. redstate.com/ben-sellers/202…

New X algorithm code dropped last night. Nothing changed in how your posts are scored on X's end. Here it is in plain English. 1. Mass reporting no longer blurs a post by itself. X deleted the rules that put a blur or warning screen on a post just because it was reported as adult or graphic by a lot of people. Say a post about a crime or a war gets a pile of reports from people who simply don't like it. Before, that alone could hide it. Now it can't. Posts flagged by X's own high-precision checks for gore or adult content still get blurred, and reaction posts only pick up a gore blur from those same checks. 2. The Brazil 2026 election filter is gone. X had a special filter for election accounts there, and with the election over, they removed it. It never touched your posts. 3. The new-account filter is longer. X has a soft filter that hides mildly adult posts from brand-new users. It used to cover a viewer's first day. Now it covers their first 7 days, and only while they've done very little on X. It only affects brand-new users. 4. NOT LIVE YET: two experiments are built but switched off. One builds the feed one slot at a time, like filling seats in a row, using the same weights. The other mixes in some random variety so the feed isn't always the same kind of post. There's also a new filter to pull risky videos out of the video carousel, but the carousel itself is still off. 5. X also confirmed in its notes that ranking is now better at predicting how long people spend on a post, and that the feed is trained to surface posts people read all the way to the end. So write things worth finishing. The rest is behind the scenes, like training work and a Grok tool that can spot content hidden behind an overlay. Likes still help, and a reply or quote helps even more.

Spray painting over the names of 9/11 victims is not a protest. It's desecration. Police say Jonathan Tijerina, 31, wrote "Juststopkillingkids . com" in red paint across the 9/11 Memorial's North Tower pool on Monday. They say he filmed himself doing it, and that the damage came to more than $2,500. He's charged with criminal mischief and making graffiti. The Post reports his group is demanding universal background checks and a national gun registry. The memorial says staff and law enforcement dealt with it right away and restored the area. Whatever your view on guns, the Second Amendment is the law of the land, and the names of nearly 3,000 victims are not a billboard. In my opinion, they need to start sentencing these desecrators of our monuments and memorials to hard time. Slaps on the wrist stop nothing. nypost.com/2026/10/28/us-new…

The Fed held rates steady today at 3.75% to 4%. The vote was 10 to 2. The two who voted no, Lisa Cook and Beth Hammack, wanted a quarter-point hike. The Fed's statement says inflation "remains elevated" while the economy is "expanding at a strong pace." So no cut, no hike, and two members already leaning toward higher rates. federalreserve.gov/newsevent…

Don’t get played. This is a scam. People claiming their Grok Bot turned $44 into $11,000 overnight are lying to you. If that were real, they wouldn’t be on X begging for likes, bookmarks, and selling you a link, they’d already be gone. Same with the far majority of the pay it forward, people. Sure, they will send you a few cents or a dollar but the scam is to get more and more people pay than they are paying out. You’re not missing out on free money. You’re the product.

Michael Barker, an Air Force veteran of Desert Storm, was just named the 2026 Butler County, Ohio Veteran of the Year. He was a B-52 crew member. "We basically destroyed things. So when I left the military, I wanted to be the builder," he says. Now he works with the VFW, Honor Flight and a program called CVET that pairs younger combat vets with older ones and escorts them to Washington, D.C. He says it goes both ways, and that "it's heartwarming." Well deserved, sir. Thank you for your service. fox19.com/2026/10/28/desert-…

Somebody tried to scam the wrong man. Two guys allegedly posed as bank employees and told a Palm Beach County sheriff's detective to pull thousands out of his account. He knew exactly what was going on. He played along, got his fellow detectives involved, and had a package of what the suspects believed was his money sent by Uber courier to Broward County. When they showed up to grab it, detectives were waiting and arrested both. Levi Cantarero, 20, and Shawn Hamilton, 31, are accused and not convicted. These scams hit the elderly every day, so it's a real treat to see one blow up in the scammers' faces. I hope they rot in prison till they're elderly. cbs12.com/news/local/scammer…

A man accused of assaulting an NYPD officer with a deadly weapon is out on the street, and ICE can't find him. DHS says Alpha Bah, an illegal immigrant from Guinea, was arrested October 7 on charges that include aggravated assault on a police officer, and ICE lodged a detainer. NYPD ignored it and let him go without telling ICE. It's the second time. DHS says NYPD also ignored a detainer after an earlier arrest in June for fare evasion. He is accused, not convicted. DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin is calling on Gov. Hochul and Mayor Mamdani to "knock it off with these evil sanctuary policies before another American gets hurt, or worse." State and city leaders who refuse to acknowledge federal supremacy in immigration law need to start being arrested. The people are tired of this rebellion. Time to quash it. foxnews.com/politics/manhunt…
