Hillary Clinton joins the Democrat chorus promising investigations of anyone and everyone having anything to do with Trump. "His administration, his family, his supporters and allies." "Buckle up. The election is just the beginning." It's just an all-out campaign on waging reprisals after two years of crying about weaponization. Again, this is on the Kara Swisher podcast. Swisher has become a primary messaging conduit for lawfare and reprisal threats by Democrats against their political enemies.

The Brazilian Supreme Court Judge revered by the Brazilian left (and now the American left for seizing Bolsonaro's passport), Alexandre de Moraes, comes from the extremist "law-and-order" faction of the Brazilian Right as well as its extreme pro-austerity neoliberal pro-banker wing. Less than a decade ago, when Moraes was nominated to the Supreme Court, the Brazilian left branded him a white supremacist, a fascist and a leader of the right-wing coup government. One of Brazil's leading left-wing politicians (@GuilhermeBoulos) explicitly accused Moraes of having committed the worst crime against humanity that exists: "RACIST GENOCIDE," by deliberately murdering poor black people en masse while he was the Justice Secretary for São Paulo Governor Geraldo Alckmin (who himself spent years being called all the same names by the Brazilian left until Lula picked Alckmin as VP in 2022). Then -- starting in 2019 -- Moraes began censoring, imprisoning and persecuting Lula's enemies and imprisoning his own critics, and was overnight transformed by the large Brazilian media and the left into the Savior of Brazilian Justice and Democracy. Only on the left can one transform from from *fascist and genocidal racist* to heroic guardian of justice in less than a decade. Also, Moraes' own corruption scandals make everyone else's seem trivial, yet his passport works just fine and he freely travels the world in great wealth that he and his family received from the corrupt billionaire banker responsible for Brazil's worst-ever banking collapse. For an attempted federal takeover of election administration, the guide describes a civil-society action plan ALREADY DEVELOPED: Pre-bunk emergency authority before it is invoked. Distribute coordinated voter messaging. And, “if necessary, mass peaceful mobilizations.”

The plan reaches into GRAND JURIES. It describes educating community members to: “reject improper prosecutions when serving on grand juries” For investigations used to pressure unlawful compliance, it prescribes immediate framing as intimidation aimed at overturning an election.

I’m living in the South-East in Brazil in the middle of nowhere. Yesterday, I drove 45 minutes to the next pharmacy to pick up my autism medication. And guys, I live in a very sparsely populated area. People here know about my political views, and some even follow me on this platform. Several people (those at the gas station and the pharmacist) brought up the elections. And you know what? They were whispering. Literally whispering. They no longer dare to speak their minds. They told me how difficult things have become. They’re afraid that even the slightest criticism could get Alexandre de Moraes to send someone after them. They no longer feel safe because of the authoritarian central government. And that’s despite the fact that my entire region, and pretty much all of southern Brazil, is overwhelmingly conservative. What’s happening to Brazil is extremely frightening. It’s as if an entire population is being held hostage by a Supreme Court judge who thinks he’s God, and a president who was once convicted of corruption and whose political opponents are being pushed aside, just like the communists once did in the Soviet Union. I hope the right finally unites and, if necessary, even breaks away from the tyrannical regime in Brasília. People have the right to freedom and self-determination. Here in Brazil and everywhere else in the world.

You’re remarkably quick to invoke the First Amendment when someone is accused of directing xenophobic abuse at a man of Indian descent, yet conspicuously less vocal about the equal standing of the Americans subjected to that racism. You are simply more outraged by the prospect of someone being held accountable for racist conduct than by the racism itself.

Earlier today, the 9/11 Memorial at Ground Zero in Manhattan was defaced with graffiti. I wear on my wrist the names of over a hundred friends and colleagues who lost their lives in the attacks twenty five years ago. 1/2
