I met Leylah Fernandez and her family at the US Open this year at a practice session and they are among the nicest people you'll ever meet in or outside of tennis. Leylah's new coach Eric Hechtman has also worked with Venus and Serena Williams, Hailey Baptiste and Eugenie Bouchard. Leylah's fitness level is better than ever and her shots are getting consistent again. She's going to be one of the toughest players to face in any round and with her ranking headed back into the top 25 she has a chance to go deeper in every tournament this year. She's only 24, expect to see many more big wins over the next 5 to 10 years. She loves to play in Asia, she's headed to another final and the Australian Open is coming up in a few months. I expect her to do very well.
