if NASCAR won’t do shit, public shaming on one of America’s most-watched sports progrums is a completely valid outlet to vent frustrations

Osi Umenyiora reveals how the Giants exposed “the greatest quarterback ever, supposedly,” Tom Brady, by decoding his snap count before Super Bowl XLII
Umenyiora says he noticed Brady pointing at a specific defender before signaling the center to snap the ball. After studying game footage for a week, he became convinced the pattern was consistent and shared his discovery with the entire Giants defense. That preparation gave New York’s defensive line a crucial advantage, helping them sack Brady five times and hit him around 20 times in the upset victory over the previously undefeated Patriots. Umenyiora says the Giants entered the game believing they could win because they had uncovered something their opponents did not know they had figured out.
yeah you keep telling yourself that

yea. i'm in LA, and saw him just about every week for 2 years. all of the wild scrambling, running in circles, zig-zagging everywhere, etc. that was fine v. san jose st., central michigan and washington st. doesn't cut it in the nfl. the LBs in the nfl are huge & just as fast as he is, and will kill him. chi.'s coach knows this, got it through to Williams, who now knows it, and is flourishing.
He won a Heisman, you dolt LMAO

it's an analogy. take a breath. if you saw Williams in college (running all over the field, in every direction, often needlessly) vs. now, you'd get it.
calm down.
I hope Chevy gets that ballbuster of a penalty that they should’ve gotten for Martinsville 2024
Talladega chatter from garage area: Hearing Chevy has instructed teams to help Larson. Don’t let him get hung out at end of stages to max potential for stage points. Talking to Toyota CC that may hurt their cars bc so many Chevys up front helps Kyle but also can take stage points away from Toyota drivers. It’s one thing to have a plan it’s another to execute. I expect all Chevy teams to be on Larson’s strategy to maximize the 5’s day. The “Larson effect” w Chevy will be a fascinating one. Will it work? Must see TV! 2pmET NBc #NASCAR

I texted my children that we got the puppy they’ve been begging me for and sent them a link with pictures. 🐶When they clicked on the link, it took them to a webpage that said YOU’RE GROUNDED. They’ll be spending the weekend retaking our family’s cybersecurity training course.

Trying to understand why a prominent Tory party member organising contract killings isn’t being given wall to wall coverage. The BBC hasn’t even mentioned it on their site.
🚨🇬🇧 Turning Point UK's CEO was filmed offering an undercover reporter a menu of beatings, stabbings and killings through a Glasgow contact who says he arms the UVF
Al Jazeera’s undercover operation started in 2021 when a reporter joined the British offshoot of the American student group.
Its CEO Jack Ross, a Conservative candidate in 2023, introduced the reporter to Allan Nesbitt, a convicted criminal and self-described UVF member, agreed on camera to pay him to stage a fake pro-Zimbabwe rally, and priced out what Nesbitt’s friends could do to a person, from cutting faces to MURDER.
The UVF is the Ulster Volunteer Force, a Protestant loyalist paramilitary from Northern Ireland’s Troubles that killed over 500 people between 1966 and 1999, including 33 in one day in the Dublin and Monaghan bombings, and is still banned as a terror group.
Since the peace deal it has run mostly as a drug gang that kept the name and the guns.
Nesbitt reportedly met the reporter in a London hotel, offered to have a fictional business rival “finished,” claimed he’d personally stabbed a man to death, showed a shotgun and pistol on a video call and said the fee would buy weapons smuggled from Scotland into Northern Ireland.
Ross says it was a joke. The joke came with a price list, a weapons demo and a smuggling route, and the police now have a name and a video... and wasn't particularly funny.
Somebody in Turning Point UK’s donor base should be asking when the fundraising dinners turned into this.

Police will be like "you can't ride a bike without a light, it's unsafe," and then murder you.
Eric Wayne Baker was traffic-stopped by Phoenix PD for riding a bicycle without a front light, assaulted during rough arrest, tasered multiple times and restrained until he died during arrest.
Eric Wayne Baker
Age: 52
Gender: Male
Race: White
Date: 04/04/2026
Location: Buena Apartments, 1400 block of W. Dobson Road / University Drive and Dobson Road
City: Mesa
County: Maricopa
State: Arizona
Agency: Mesa Police Department
Officer(s): Not Disclosed
Cause of Death: Taser
Event: Died after police foot pursuit, physical restraint and multiple Taser deployments during traffic stop for riding bicycle without front light
On 04/04/2026 at approximately 8:30 p.m., Mesa Police Department officers saw 52-year-old Eric Wayne Baker riding a bicycle near University Drive and Dobson Road. Police said the bicycle lacked a required front light. Officers activated emergency lights and sirens, and Baker continued west on University Drive before entering the Buena Apartments. Two officers pursued him on foot while a third drove around the complex. Baker crashed his bicycle onto a concrete walkway.
Police said Baker pulled away, would not give officers his hands, attempted to get up and kicked at officers as they tried to arrest him. During the approximately one-minute-and-35-second struggle, officers physically struck Baker and deployed Tasers multiple times. Three officers eventually handcuffed him. Police also learned Baker had an active felony warrant related to a probation revocation.
Bystander video presents a disputed view of the struggle. The recording shows three officers restraining Baker on the ground. Baker's face appears bloodied, and he can repeatedly be heard saying that he cannot breathe. A witness told ABC15 that Baker was not fighting officers but was pleading for help. Baker's daughter, Charlee Baker, later disputed the police account that her father assaulted an officer.
Police said approximately 45 seconds after Baker was handcuffed, officers moved him onto his side. About 40 seconds later they requested an expedited medical response. Police said Baker continued yelling, kicking and moving on the ground, and responding medical personnel were initially unable to obtain his vital signs because of his movement.
Baker was placed in an ambulance for transport to a hospital. He became unresponsive during transport. Resuscitation efforts were begun, but he died.
Baker's family retained civil-rights attorney Benjamin Taylor and questioned the amount of force used during an encounter that began with a bicycle-light violation. Three months after Baker's death, the Maricopa County Medical Examiner's autopsy findings had still not been released. The Maricopa County Attorney's Office currently lists Baker's in-custody death investigation as “Awaiting submittal,” with Mesa Police Department as the investigating agency.
The three involved officers were placed on 40 hours of critical-incident leave and later returned to duty. Mesa Police did not refer the death to an outside agency, stating that it did not meet the East Valley Critical Incident Response Team's criteria. The department's Critical Incident Review Board, including Internal Affairs and Training Division personnel, is reviewing the incident.
Weapon(s): None reported.

because Carson has the right to defend himself and didn’t run afoul, specifically, of Zane Smith
obviously if the 77 and 38 were the culprits of BNR brawl, we’d be having a different conversation, but that’s not what happened.

I have not forgotten about the concept of probation.
But I have a question: If both drivers were placed on a "secret probation" why was there not a penalty handed out for the post-race fight at Bristol involving one of the supposed drivers on probation?
Have you forgotten the entire concept of probation?
Just because they’re not explicitly announcing it doesn’t mean they aren’t on watch by the executives

I promise I am listening. I just haven't really heard a very definitive reason other than that they were talked to after an incident 15 races ago.

“There was video, audio, and data review that did play a part in this (penalty). I think P1 in the reason that we penalized here is because we had a discussion with Zane Smith and Carson Hocevar. This happened after Chicagoland, after they had their dustup on the racetrack. … Pretty much the message was this: if you guys can’t figure it out, we will help you figure it out, and they couldn’t figure it out. So, this is us pretty much helping Zane Smith figure it out in the form of a $50,000 fine.
“When we have drivers called into the hauler like that - we have it often, not overly so, but when we feel it's necessary - we’re serious about those conversations, and we want them to have some reasoning behind it. We don’t want to just check a box that says, ‘OK, we did this thing for PR speak so that Mike Forde can say on Hauler Talk about bringing in drivers in the hauler and they’re doing something rather than just turning a blind eye.’”
New Hauler Talk has dropped!

What’s happening in France is a wake-up call to the entire world. 🌍 The cost of living keeps rising while everyday people struggle to survive. People are tired of working hard just to barely get by. Governments need to start listening to the people before frustration turns into chaos. 💯🙏🏽
I get there’s beef, but to have no regard for your own equipment and health by slamming into a guy like that is just fucking stupid lmao
I wish Zane would actually square up for once because he’s perfectly fine talking shit behind your back or using his car as a weapon
.@ZaneSmith SLAMS @CarsonHocevar after the checkered flag, as the dislike between these two continues.
Smith is told that the No. 77 team says they were shoved into the No. 38 a few laps before the finish.
Zane’s response: “I don’t give a f*ck.”
