Three times the cuteness! 🥺
How adorable are these orphaned squirrel glider triplets that were admitted to the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital? 💚💙
A rare visitor to the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital! 🐍
We recently admitted a spectacular spectacled sea snake, and these guys are incredibly rare! This little guy, named Vecna, is only the 8th spectacled sea snake we’ve ever had at the Wildlife Hospital.
He was found beached and exhausted, something we unfortunately see with sea snakes during rough weather. 🌊
It’s important to remember that sea snakes are highly venomous and generally only come ashore when they’re unwell.
What should you do if you spot a sea snake on the beach?
🐍 Keep your distance.
🐍 Never touch the snake or attempt to return it to the water.
🐍 Contact a qualified wildlife rescue organisation for advice and assistance.
For now, Vecna is undergoing treatment and resting and regaining strength at the hospital.
Each admission gives us an opportunity to learn more about these incredible, rarely seen animals and give them the best possible chance of recovery. 💙
Fingers crossed he makes a full recovery, and can head back to the ocean soon! 🤞🏽
Meet Lenny, our brave little flying fox! 🦇
Little Lenny came into care alongside his mum, who had sadly passed away after being hit by a car. 🥺 Now this precious little grey-headed flying fox needs all the love and care we can give him.
Lenny has an injured eye and wing, but he’s surrounded by caring hands, plenty of delicious nectar, and so much love. 🍼🌸 We’re hopeful that, with time and dedicated care, this little fighter will heal and grow strong enough to return to the skies where he belongs! ☁️✨
Grey-headed flying foxes are listed as a vulnerable species, making every little life even more precious. We’re keeping everything crossed for you, sweet Lenny! You’ve got this! 💙
After months of dedicated care at the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital, Flippy the green sea turtle and Lilly Pilly the loggerhead turtle have made it back home! 🌏💙
From their time in care to this incredible moment of release, every step has been about giving these two beautiful turtles the best possible chance to return to the wild.
Thanks to the hard work and dedication of our amazing hospital team, Flippy and Lilly Pilly get a second chance. 🥺 Seeing these two swim free is a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do.
Good luck, Flippy and Lilly Pilly! 🥰

Squirrel gliders are small, nocturnal marsupials with an impressive ability to glide between trees using a membrane of skin stretched between their legs. They feed on a variety of foods including nectar, pollen, insects and tree sap, and like other marsupials, their young develop safely in a pouch. These tiny gliders play an important role in our Australian ecosystems and are beautiful. We love being able to help them at the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital! 💙💚
Kairo the carpet python is ready to get back to business! 🐍🌿💚

Thankfully, after a short stint of treatment for some minor injuries, Kairo has received a clean bill of health and the all-clear to return home! 🥰
Safe travels, Kairo! 👋🏽
This sweet little possum joey, named Neutsy, arrived at the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital as an orphan, with his mum having been involved in a vehicle accident. Neutsy needed a little extra care and support, but thankfully our incredible crew work round the clock to ensure the most critical patients get the care they need. 🥰 Lets hear it for our wonderful team! 👏🏽
Hammy the antechinus was brought to the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital after an encounter with a cat. Thankfully, he was incredibly lucky to escape without serious injuries and after a short time with us, he was able to go back into the wild. 🥰

After being dropped by a bird of prey, Talon made an incredible 6-hour journey to the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital to be assessed.

After being injured in a dog attack, Terrier was brought to the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital for specialised care.

While many of our ducklings have hatched here at the Hospital, this little group was brought in after being found orphaned. They’re now having their first health checks with our team before heading off to dedicated wildlife carers, where they can grow, learn and develop before returning to the wild. 🥰
We’re certainly not short on cuteness around here! 💛
Little Yasmin has been through quite the journey! 🦘
This sweet red-necked wallaby joey arrived at the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital as an orphan after her mum was sadly involved in a vehicle accident. She needed a little extra help along the way, with some grazes, tummy troubles and sensitive skin to overcome.
After plenty of specialised care, soothing medicated baths and lots of TLC, Yasmin was ready to head off with a dedicated wildlife carer. 🥰
Now, she can focus on doing what joeys do best, growing, hopping and getting stronger! 💚
