In the past 6 months we’ve produced a cheaper, more efficient seeding material, trained a hyper-resolution AI weather model, and operated 100+ cloud seeding flights for the governments of Texas and New Mexico.
Recast Systems is coming out of stealth. Here’s some of the research we’ve been working on. (1/n)
Rly thoughtful non-slop take on a productivity tool from a friend of mine — like a Spotify wrapped for your day, every day!
We've been thinking about the best way to use screen data for a while now.
After 500k hours of beta use, we're launching Dayflow: the open source automatic work journal.
One of my favorite @rabois-isms: the best predictor of success is how well you allocate your time. But nobody actually knows where it goes. Memory lies, calendars only show the plan.
Dayflow shows you the truth about today so you can be intentional about tomorrow.
the naming rights for a street in san francisco are being auctioned off. but the top bidders are corporations naming it after themselves. lame!
to fight this, we're crowdfunding PEEPEEPOOPOO STREET. less tech billboards in sf, more whimsymaxxing!
we only have 4 days to do something really stupid.

People dog on tiktok for nuking attention spans, but academics on the app are constantly birthing exciting new theories, like the taxi cab theory, bird theory, etc.

hear ye, hear ye: PhysicsGraph is in the market for waterloo interns this summer
please spread the word. We are looking for AI-first engineers interested in rebuilding the very thing they hate, their classes.
In the best city on Earth, Montréal (especially in summer)!
I’ve spent enough time in tech company marketing to know how this disastrous, awful tweet was created
- someone posts in a marketing slack channel “we should do something related to the snow on Saturday!”
- other people immediately pile in with ideas, most of which are terrible
- a draft of the post gets workshopped to death by multiple cooks in the kitchen, each iteration worse than the last. “let’s add ‘please be choosy’ at the end and use this inoffensive reaction image!”
- by the time the post is greenlit by the social media team, it’s basically nonsensical
- they click the “post” button and send the link in the channel. They’re not stupid, they know it’s actually not funny, but maybe they can add the impression count to their performance review packet?
what i subconsciously think when i see these in a bio:
ML engineer = real position
AI engineer = backend engineer calling AI APIs
AI/ML engineer = larping, or student. enthusiastic but def inexperienced
