This is one of the most devastating, infuriating stories I've read in a long time. You think you're already angry at the basics of what happened and then it just keeps getting worse with each new detail. I recommend reading every word by @kylietcheung jezebel.com/black-couple-say…
law nerds: why is it “innocent UNTIL proven guilty” and not “innocent UNLESS proven guilty?” Doesn’t “until” kind of imply that evidence of guilt will eventually be found?

This tweet went viral and twitter got mad as heck about it. "But we love trees!" they cried. But they are actually really cool and here's why: (1/14)

Happy birthday, Quentin Tarantino. Still don’t know why this is my favorite scene of his, but here we are.
one thing i wish western superhero cinema understood more is that style and panache count for a LOT more than scale and spectacle when it comes to pleasing a crowd. This little transformation is more thrilling than any Marvel "suit up" moment I've seen since the first Iron Man.
Replying to @HeadExposure
Look at that transformation 😭
When are you bringing this to us, @PrimeVideo?!

On either side are the callers portraits, and between them, numbers reading 170.00 next to reception bars. Above, the letters K A C L, and below, thr word 'Memory'. The left porttrait shows an army general of some sort, and the right shows Frasier Crane wearing his headset. Below, words read "Our next caller is Roy, who appears to have lost his snake!" "Adept call-screening as usual, Roz..."

As someone who is sympathetic to a lot of the arguments against AI art, IMO one of the worst possible outcomes of the whole debate would be for someone's "style" to become something legally copyrightable. It would open a huge can of worms.
To be clear, I think the way programs like Midjourney scrape art to train on is... ethically murky at best (I also think the next gen of serious AI image generators will be more responsibly sourced)
