Yesterday's announcements by the Liberals to lock in native forest logging until 2040 and expand #toxicsalmon farming if re-elected will destroy Tasmania’s natural environment and drive species to extinction. Extinction is forever; governments are not. #VoteForests #Politas

So thrilled! Have to admit I didn’t hold out much hope of a successful outcome when I watched this pair back around new year. Huge congrats to all in the community that looked out for this gorgeous family.
For the first time in our records, we have a breeding pair of Hooded Plovers at Lorne, Victoria, and their chicks have fledged!

So it seems they’ve finally murdered him. I followed Alexey Navalny around Russia in 2017. Funny, charming, principled, insanely brave. And how the Kremlin feared him. Navalny’s very existence was a daily reminder of what an amoral little man Vladimir Putin is and will always be.

Another day, another log truck full of hundreds of years old trees. It must stop! There is no excuse for the continued destruction of #NativeForests — it’s a climate-destroying practice.
Today, forest defenders held a vigil to bear witness.

Jacinta Allan’s Labor Government just put its seal of approval on the continued massacre of native wildlife.
Duck shooting will go on despite the primary recommendation from their own inquiry.
It’s a disgrace, and it’s the end of our good faith relationship. #springst

Removing fish farms from Macquarie Harbour is the Maugean Skate’s only hope - With half of the Maugean Skates in the breeding program now dead, there is not a second to lose. Fish farms need to be removed from Macquarie Harbour now #politas #auspol

A flock of the most BEAUTIFUL Gouldian Finches on a tree at Lee Point & the same tree a matter of days later.😡
This happened at the end of last year and in a matter of days the rest of the habitat will be destroyed.🚜
It is so depressing @tanya_plibersek has allowed this.

Last year, Norway slaughtered 580 whales; many were pregnant.
Now, they are increasing whale kill numbers and have removed onboard whale welfare monitors.
They are worried about bad publicity, so let's give it to them.

The Victorian Government has just announced that yet another cruel duck shooting season will go ahead this year.
@DanielAndrewsMP - No shortened season or bag limit will make ‘recreational shooting’ any less violent for wildlife.
We won't stop until this outdated cruelty does.
