Be strong, & let us show ourselves courageous for the sake of our people & for the cities of our God; & may the LORD do what is good in His sight. #1613project

It is biblical to confront policies and leadership that impact people. (Luke 13:31-32, Mark 7:6-13, Matt 23) Pray for your pastor/elders but don’t blindly follow them. If pulpits don’t speak up you must do your job and speak up to them. (Jer 1:17-19) If courage is not present in the pulpit you cannot be present in the pew. You get what you tolerate. Political parties are not the real problem- prophets who fail to speak and pulpits who fail to equip and awaken the people are. If your pastor or leadership is afraid to share the Truth about how policies affect people and how parties support policies…than you don’t have shepherds you have hired hands who “see the wolf coming, and leaves the sheep and flees…because he is a hired hand and is not concerned about the sheep” (John. 10:12-13) OR they are so completely compromised or confused that you need to be admonished, encouraged and helped with persistent love. (1 Thess 5:14) If that doesn’t bring change - you must stop supporting them with your presence and provision. Leadership demands courage and clarity and pulpits that lack clarity about the consequences of ideas and political ideologies need to be confronted. America did not become the land of the free without pulpits that spoke freely and America will not stay free if courageous Truth tellers don’t speak up and stand up for what is right, true and leads to human flourishing. Please see my sermon series I preached as founding pastor of @WatermarkChurch “The Wolf at the Door” watermark.org/message/1646-t… and “Declaration” watermark.org/message/3105-t… May more pulpits share freely, kindly, truthfully, boldly, and biblically. #1613project @howertonjosh is correct here👇🏽👇🏽💪🏽💪🏽
A couple things on this, because progressives use this to bully and intimidate (conservative) pastors into silence: 1) While I am very clear about the evil of many policies currently being advanced by the DNC and CLEAR moral asymmetry between the proposed policies of the parties, I do not endorse candidates right now. 2) Progressives selectively report churches to the FFRF every year. You'll never see this article about the (primarily AA) churches Democrats are in every week leading up to an election. It's an attempt at street-level lawfare. 3) Articles like this are toothless and you should just chuckle at them. We have a lawyer that argues Religious Liberty cases before SCOTUS at Lakepointe. No church in US History has ever had their tax exempt status removed for a sermon, much less for one in which a candidate was not even endorsed. 4) In the words of a couple knowledgable guys I consulted with, it's a harassment and intimidation tactic to silence pastors. Intent of this post isn't to be combative, but I have realized this fear has intimidated some pastor friends and after looking into it, wanted to remove that fear. BOTTOM LINE: You are 100% free to be clear with your people about the (radical) moral asymmetry between the current proposed policies and ideologies of the parties AND to encourage your people to vote as an application of the command to be “the salt of the earth” and to “seek the welfare of the city” and to “live your neighbor”.

I don’t know this gentleman...but I agree with his warning and I know only fools would refuse to speak out against the type of behavior happening in France. This is not politics…and even if it was, speaking out against it doesn’t make you a shill for a political party…it makes you a prefect of weakness if you don’t. It makes your voice a “precinct” of error. Silence in the midst of sin is a sin. That includes a candidate’s infidelity and a canidate’s silence against infidels. One is a character problem-one is a tacit indication of what you should expect from their governing. Discern. Speak. Vote. Lead. #1613project
Tonight, France burned. America, you should be watching very carefully. Today, October 17, 2026, more than half a million people marched across France against the cost of living. By 8pm, around 400 had been arrested. In Paris, police turned water cannons on the crowds at Place de la République, and one march was stopped 150 meters from the Élysée Palace. Of the 195 people arrested in the capital by the afternoon, only one actually lived in Paris. Mobs forced their way into the city halls of Marseille and Lille. In Lyon, a tourism office was set on fire. In Rennes, barricades burned. Near Limoges, a highway was blocked and police cars were torched. And then came Limoges. A crowd of very young people stormed the city hall, a protected historic monument built in the 1880s. They flipped police cars in front of it and set them ablaze, then set the building itself on fire. The flames took the roof, the wedding hall, and the civil registry, the office that records every birth, every marriage, every death in the city. Tonight, the bell tower that has crowned Limoges for nearly 150 years collapsed. The mayor's response: "It's a monument that is burning, not the Republic." That is the problem in one sentence. Our leaders still think words can put out fires. None of this came out of nowhere. For twenty years, the French political class has excused everything. Every riot was "anger." Every burned car was a "social symptom." Every attack on police was "a reaction to provocation." And the hard left, La France Insoumise, which officially backed today's mobilization, built its electoral machine on an alliance with political Islamism: refusing to condemn, refusing to name, trading secularism and public order for votes. In France we have a word for it. Islamo-gauchisme. Islamo-leftism. Tonight you saw where that culture of excuse ends. A country where a mob can burn down a town hall, and the state arrives after the roof has already fallen in. My dear American friends, I say this with love, as someone who has lived among you and owes you a great deal: your midterms are on November 3rd. And the same alliance is growing inside your Democratic Party. The same far-left wing that treats disorder as protest and police as the enemy. The same activists who refuse to draw a line between legitimate dissent and those who openly despise the West. The same politicians who think tolerance means tolerating everything, including the people who want to burn it down. It always starts with excuses. Then comes impunity. Then come the flames. Same causes, same effects. If you create the conditions we created, you will get exactly what we got tonight. France was the country of the Enlightenment, of cathedrals and town halls that stood for centuries. Tonight, one of them collapsed live on social media while the government called for calm. My dear American friends, the only advantage you have over us is that you've been warned. Vote like your city hall depends on it. Because one day, it will.

It’s crazy when Bill Maher makes more sense and has more courage than pastors, leaders and some churches. Absolutely crazy. When people don’t “speak the truth in love” someone like @billmaher will speak the truth with profanity. Instead of being offended that I retweet someone who uses words that offend you…be offended at the profane cowardice and lack of courage and truth speaking of “believers” and most pulpits. People should not have to catch an @billmaher show to get confronted with Truth. #1613project
Got to hand it to Bill Maher. We may not agree on everything but thank God he is calling out the insanity. That takes moral courage & principles. And deserves respect.
