Across cultures, objects have long served as vessels of power, belief, protection, and transformation. Talismans, ritual objects, animal hides, leather, and other materials carry histories of survival, struggle, dominance, and resilience.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us for the opening of ‘Between and Almost Far From Hard Walls’ by Frank Coffie.
Between and Almost Far from Hard Walls invites viewers into an intimate encounter with the spaces we inhabit emotionally and culturally.
It reflects on the architectures that shape our lives, family, love, memory, and selfhood while asking how we continue to construct meaning within and beyond the structures that seek to contain us.

Worldfaze Art Practice welcomes Frank Coffie as part of our ‘Visiting Artists’ program dedicated to emerging artists.

He holds a Diploma in Fine Art from Ruth Prowse School of Art (Cape Town, 2017), where he was awarded the Erik Laubscher Award for creative excellence, and a Certificate in Art and Design from Ghanatta College (Accra, 2013).
Coffie’s practice combines yarn, oil paint, and visual memory to create textured figurative works that explore impermanence and belonging.
