I've visited David McBride in prison over the past two years. His commitment to the truth never wavered. He went to jail so the rest of us could know what happened. Thank you, David.

David is free but the laws that put him there have not changed. What happened to him is exactly why Australia needs real whistleblower protections, urgently.
Until the law changes, his case is a warning to any truth teller who might consider speaking up.

David McBride is walking out of prison this morning.
David has fought an epic battle & after eight years fighting in court & over two years in jail he is finally free to move on with his life. His whistleblowing will remain the most consequential in Australian military history.

David McBrides incarceration was a blight on our democracy imposed by the Albanese government. The Labor's Attorney General Mark Dreyfus authorised the criminal prosecution to proceed.
Remember at the ballot box!
