A group of hackers published classified data on Russian soldiers killed in the war, from Russia's statistics agency Rosstat. In late August, the total was 450,100 (around 100k per year). It is in line with other independent estimates. There is also a regional breakdown.

Elon Musk claims Hitler was a far-left socialist because the Nazi Party had "socialist" in its name. By that logic, North Korea is a democracy because its official name is the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. Hitler was a far-right fascist who imprisoned and murdered socialists, communists and trade unionists. He banned left-wing parties, destroyed independent unions and worked with German industrialists. The Nazis used the word "socialist" as propaganda, partly because socialism and communism were popular among German workers at the time, and they wanted to attract those voters. Welfare queen Elon thinks political ideology is determined by branding.

When President Trump says we need to find a compromise – we live with this. A ceasefire and sitting down at the negotiating table – it is a huge compromise. Nobody can step into the shoes of all these people whose children were tortured. And you can't force people to forgive. How can you force them when their child was tortured? How do you forgive? It's impossible. I desperately want justice. I just really want. I know so many people had their hearts ripped out, and there won't be a new heart. That's why we say a ceasefire is the only step, because people’s hatred isn't going anywhere. It takes time and justice. And that's why it's a huge compromise. I've tried many times to tell the President of the United States: understand us. This is a huge compromise just to hold the lines where we are. Trump can bring Putin to the negotiating table very easily. The way President Trump talks about me, he needs to adopt that kind of rhetoric about Putin. Going to share some interesting information here. For now, out of courtesy, without naming names. There’s a group of politicians in Kyiv, including figures from the former pro-Russian bloc, former members of Zelensky’s political camp, and a few from Poroshenko’s, who have been actively communicating with Americans. They’re trying to present themselves as a pro-MAGA alternative to Zelensky, hoping to secure political and financial backing in exchange for pursuing a pro-Trump agenda. The good news is that, so far, these efforts haven’t gone anywhere, and they have relatively little support in Ukraine and even in the DC. So far, none appears to have received any meaningful backing. However, if tensions between Trump and Zelensky continue to grow, I wouldn’t be surprised if Washington eventually starts seeing them as useful. Yet, I don’t expect much to come of it, though. Why? Most likely, it would just be another waste of money, much like the support for Orban in Hungary. The difference is that, unlike Orban’s political movement, there’s no united MAGA-aligned force in Kyiv. Instead, it’s a scattered group of politicians who can barely stand each other but hope to improve their own political and financial fortunes by undermining Zelensky to win Trump’s favor. Why am I writing this? Because I have little tolerance for those who undermine my country’s security and its right to remain independent. Whether you’re Ukrainian or foreign, if you believe you can secure a privileged position by promoting Trump’s interests in Ukraine, you’re mistaken. You’re little more than pawns in a political game, and you shouldn’t confuse being useful to Trump with earning his respect. I want to put this on record so that when the political winds change and you try to distance yourselves from these decisions, I can remind you exactly what you supported and what you were willing to do at Ukraine’s expense.

So that MINERVA ZEN which was believed to be heading to the US with diesel, happens to have left this place 3 weeks ago.
High-resolution satellite imagery confirms the vessel was berthed at Petersburg Oil Terminal’s PNT‑3 berth (59.88411, 30.16568) on September 22. The terminal handles a range of petroleum products, including diesel, jet fuel, heavy fuel oil and vacuum gasoil.

European nations need to stop buying American and Chinese weapons and technology. It will be extremely painful, but necessary in the long run. Imagine a scenario in which Russia invades an EU country, and the Russian agent playing the role of American president decides to shut down fighter jets and weapons systems using a kill switch. According to SIPRI, 58% of major arms imported by European NATO countries in 2021–2025 came from the US. And we shouldn't forget about China. In Norway, Chinese-made vehicles used during a military exercise recorded soldiers' movements, sensitive locations and even access codes to military facilities. It's time to invest massively in Europe's own defence and technology industries.

‼️BREAKING: SpaceX throttled Ukraine's military-grade Starlink without warning, Kyiv says. It now cuts out above 160 km/h. The 7th Rapid Reaction Corps says drone links dropped for 10-20 seconds mid-flight and units had to cancel some missions. SpaceX has not said why.

"They called all the top military officials with threats," one Ukrainian official told the Kyiv Independent. "They're telling everyone that they're going to turn off both the intelligence sharing and PURL." Intel cooperation and PURL aren't charity, they're both providing big benefits to the US. The idea that we'd sacrifice that rather than pressure Putin is hard to believe. kyivindependent.com/us-threa…
