You’ve said it best!! Choosing to be unmarried & childfree and being vocal about it & even giving valid criticism on these.. all that is messing with the status & hierarchy of being married/having children. Those who did these for social status aren’t gonna be pleased vele 😤

Society relies on strict hierarchies, in the past it turned childfree individuals into pariahs and people were comfortable when upholding traditional expectations of having children. Nowadays no choice is better than the other, it’s just a different path, & I think some hate that

The way being childfree has been seen as an insult since forever??! It’s been a reason for being judged, cross questioned, shunned, sidelined. Now its like this shift where people now own & celebrate this life choice is making those who preferred when it was seen as a shame upset

I think relationships give ppl social credibility that single ppl have to establish individually. Being chosen is treated as evidence that you're desirable, stable, capable of commitment, etc. So ppl outsource their sense of adulthood to someone else's willingness to be with them

Anathi Maguga, an innocent, hardworking businesswoman from Gqeberha who specialised in baking cakes, has reportedly been found dead in a forest after she went missing on Thursday evening.
