There is a weird thought process where people think a tragic character deserves an equally tragic end, when in some cases that COULD work; for Boruto specifically, I see his goal of reuniting the Uzumaki family together including him.
Have not seen anyone mention these words from Jura, but he might have foreshadowed boruto’s future regarding Momoshiki’s manifestation all the way in the sand arc. Based on Koji’s words, it seems something negative happens, which comes back to love being a “fatal flaw”.
Love how we are showing the guilt eating Kawaki alive. As much as Naruto and Hinata are locked from the world, they are also locked away from being able to interact with kawaki. The ability that Kawaki has is still a painful reminder of the tough decisions he has to make.
