On this day 1944 the intense fighting at the van Limburg Stirum school ended. The defenders my dad among them, had run out of ammunition. The school was on fire, they tried to escape but were surrounded and captured. Dad is front left, six months later he escaped from a POW camp.

Caught my finger on a bramble thorn o Sunday…….started to swell and go green by Monday. Bloody annoyingly painful 🙄. Anyway hospital today to have the pus drained. Feeling better already and I now have a bandage to make my driving finger more visible!! 😂
