Xarray has first class support for non-standard calendars through Unidata's cftime package: see xarray.pydata.org/en/stable/…. A lot of this support was implemented by Jwen Fai Low (github.com/jwenfai) & Spencer Clark (spencerkclark.github.io/webs…). Thanks!
