Legendary Creator and Voice Actor Seth MacFarlane Turns 53! 🎙️🎬🎉 MacFarlane has built an entire comedy universe around voices of his own creation. On Family Guy alone, he performs Peter Griffin, Stewie Griffin, Brian Griffin, Glenn Quagmire, Carter Pewterschmidt, Tom Tucker, and Dr. Hartman, while American Dad! adds Stan Smith and Roger to an already enormous lineup. Beyond television animation, he also brought the foul-mouthed teddy bear Ted to life across two films and the television series. Some of his most notable roles include: • Peter Griffin (Family Guy) • Stewie Griffin (Family Guy) • Brian Griffin (Family Guy) • Glenn Quagmire (Family Guy) • Ted (Ted / Ted 2 / Ted) • Stan Smith (American Dad!) • Roger (American Dad!) • Captain Ed Mercer (The Orville) • Mike (Sing) • Albert Stark (A Million Ways to Die in the West) • Johann Krauss (H*llboy II: The Golden Army) • Tim the Bear (The Cleveland Show) • Emperor Palpatine (Robot Chicken: Star Wars) • Max Chilblain (Logan Lucky) • Ziggy (Tooth Fairy) • Carter Pewterschmidt (Family Guy) • Tom Tucker (Family Guy) • Dr. Elmer Hartman (Family Guy) • Jeff McGarland (Phineas and Ferb) • Ensign Rivers (Star Trek: Enterprise) What makes MacFarlane’s voice work especially impressive is how many distinct personalities he can sustain within the same show, shifting from Peter’s booming cluelessness to Stewie’s theatrical precision, Brian’s dry delivery, and Quagmire’s rapid-fire energy. At 53, Seth MacFarlane has turned his voice into one of the most recognizable sounds in adult animation while continuing to move between comedy, live action, music, film, and television. 🎙️✨
