Every community has a story.
Ours has thousands.
It started with a door.
Over eight years, people have walked through it. Some came curious. Some came unsure. Some came with nothing but an idea and the courage to share it.
They joined our programmes.
They stayed to volunteer.
They stood in front of rooms and facilitated sessions.
They built solutions, showed up for their communities, and walked out with careers they once only imagined.
Somewhere along the way, their stories became ours.
So now, we’re handing them the mic.
Introducing HUMANS OF YANDYTECH, a series celebrating the people behind eight years of learning, innovation and community impact. One face, one journey, one story at a time.
And if YandyTech is part of your story, tell us in the comments. We’d love to hear it.
#HumansOfYandyTech #YandyTechAt8 – at Chanchaga, Nigeria
The YandyTech team recently engaged with the Ministry of Women Affairs to strengthen connections and explore areas of alignment between our work and the Ministry’s priorities, particularly in gender inclusion and social protection.
As an organisation committed to youth development, technology, innovation, and inclusive community development, YandyTech recognises the importance of working alongside relevant institutions to advance shared goals and create opportunities for meaningful impact.
We believe that stronger connections between organisations and institutions can help drive sustainable change and build more inclusive communities. We look forward to continued engagement and opportunities to contribute to initiatives that empower individuals and communities.

YandyTech at #BUILD2026!
YandyTech Community represented by our CTO, Alamin Musa Magaga, is presenting a paper at Africa's Shared Compute and AI Infrastructure Conference, hosted by the Nigeria AI Collective in Abuja.
"Where Should Africa Build AI Compute? An Evidence-First Framework for Shared Infrastructure Investment"
The big idea: Africa shouldn't pick a single winner for AI compute. Every country needs a different next step, from investigating sites, to building power and connectivity, to simply collecting better data. In fact, 23 of 54 African countries don't yet have enough public data to be compared.

Building Partnerships. Bridging the Digital Skills Gap. Creating Opportunities.
At YandyTech Community, we believe that equipping people with relevant skills and knowledge is essential to unlocking opportunities and preparing them for the future. This is why we are excited to announce our partnership with The Pathway Initiative for Guidance and Career Awareness!
Through this collaboration, both organisations will work together to deliver digital skills training, information technology programs, and other capacity-building initiatives designed to equip individuals with practical knowledge, relevant competencies, and the confidence to navigate an increasingly digital world.
From strengthening digital literacy and expanding access to information technology education to supporting continuous learning and skills development, this partnership seeks to create more opportunities for individuals to learn, grow, and apply their knowledge in meaningful ways.
We recognize that building a digitally empowered society requires collective effort. By bringing our expertise, resources, and shared commitment together, we aim to contribute to closing the digital skills gap while empowering more people to participate meaningfully in the digital economy.
This partnership represents another step toward our shared vision of a future where access to digital knowledge and capacity-building opportunities enables individuals and communities to thrive.

Every girl deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, discover her potential, and decide what her future looks like. Yet, for many girls, barriers such as child marriage and unequal access to opportunities continue to stand in the way.
This International Day of the Girl Child, under the theme “End Child Marriage and Invest in Girls’ Rights”, we are reminded that empowering girls requires more than words. It requires action, access, and sustained investment in their potential.
At YandyTech, we believe that when girls have access to digital skills, knowledge, mentorship, and opportunities to innovate, they are better equipped to shape their futures and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
Our commitment to inclusive innovation means working towards a future where every girl has the opportunity to learn, lead, create, and thrive.

Eight years ago, we dared to imagine a future where technology could unlock opportunities, empower young people, and transform communities. Today, that vision is a story of impact, resilience, and growth.
What began as a simple belief has grown into eight years of learning, innovation, and community-driven change.
From equipping young people with digital skills to creating pathways in employability, civic engagement, peacebuilding, and climate action, our journey has always been about one thing: turning possibilities into real opportunities for people and communities.
As we celebrate 8 years of YandyTech Community, we are grateful for the lives we've touched, the communities we've grown with, and everyone who has helped shape our story.
Eight years of ideas turned into action, challenges turned into opportunities, and communities empowered to thrive.
And the exciting part? We're just getting started!

Some stories began before independence.
Some were born along the way.
And some are being written right now.
At 66, Nigeria is not simply looking back at where we have been. We are standing at the intersection of everything we have inherited and everything we have the power to create.
The young innovator building something from a simple idea.
The community choosing to collaborate.
The person using technology to open a door for someone else.
The voices refusing to be left out of the conversation.
These may seem like small moments, but nations are built through moments like these.
At YandyTech, we believe the future of Nigeria is not a distant destination. It is something we build—one idea, one connection, one community at a time.
So today, we celebrate not only how far Nigeria has come, but the possibilities that lie ahead.
66 years of Nigeria Independence.
A story still unfolding.
A future still ours to build.
Happy Independence Day, Nigeria.
