Dunning was my professor at @Cornell during my PhD.
This paper answers why confident idiots run the world.
Cornell University published a psychological paper that explains every terrible boss, every loud influencer, and every broken corporate hierarchy.
It’s called “Unskilled and Unaware of It.”
they tested participants across logic, grammar, and humor to measure the gap between actual performance and self-perception.
And the results are wild.
participants scoring in the bottom 12th percentile consistently believed they were operating in the 62nd percentile.
they were not lying. they were literally incapable of recognizing their own incompetence.
the paper revealed a brutal paradox:
the exact skills required to master a domain are the exact same skills required to accurately evaluate your own competence in that domain.
if you lack the skill, you inherently lack the cognitive capacity to realize you are failing.
this creates a dangerous systemic loop.
the incompetent are blessed with absolute, blinding certainty. their brain protects them from their own ignorance, allowing them to speak first, demand authority, and never second-guess their decisions.
meanwhile, the actual experts suffer the exact inverse.
top performers in the study consistently underestimated their rank. because a task was easy for them, they falsely assumed it was easy for everyone else.
they hesitate. they obsess over nuance. they assume they have nothing unique to add.
we are biologically wired to confuse confidence with competence.
the loudest person in the room gets promoted, gets funded, and gets the microphone, not because they know what they are doing, but because they are physically incapable of seeing what they don't.
the only defense mechanism is building systems that stop rewarding absolute certainty and start demanding proof of work.

Mosques are chapters of a political organization called Islam. Don’t confuse them with churches. Their main function is advancing the political cause of Islam, not worship.
This is horrifying
Abdul El-Sayed is visiting mosques and rallying Muslims to vote for him during Midterms. This is the Islamic Takeover of America
“We have that opportunity, insha'Allah, on November 3rd — You can go in and vote tomorrow. Make sure you, your wife, your husband, if you're a sister in the back, your mother, your father, your children if they're voting age, your neighbors have made a plan to vote on or before November 3rd. I'm gonna say that date one more time. The 3rd day of November.
“We cannot miss the opportunity. Again, we have a responsibility to lift our voices, and we have that opportunity, insha'Allah, on November 3rd. I'm asking you to lift that voice of yours.
Fight for the kind of America you believe in, an America that provides all the basic needs of a dignified life to our own people and does not take it away from other people. JazakAllahu Khairan. Again, my name is Abdul El-Sayed and I'm grateful for your support.”
This should horrify every American. He’s using mosques for his political agenda
Politicians are not supposed to go into places of worship and ask for votes. If the place of workshop allows it, legally they should lose their tax exempt status
Where is the accountability!?
The rule is Internal Revenue Code §501(c)(3), specifically the political campaign prohibition known as the Johnson Amendment
Allowing a candidate to use the organization’s facilities or events to campaign without equal opportunity for other candidates and distributing or publishing materials that favor or oppose candidates results in loss of tax exempt status
Using organizational resources like money, property, staff, lists and more to support or oppose a candidate also results in loss of tax exempt status
Strip this mosque of tax exempt status

Overnight, my follower count has increased from 1.2k to 1.5k. Unexpected, but welcomed!
Since the uptick is related to my post about the Harvard Classics reading plan on my site and many are seeing my site for the first time, please know that there is a ton more! And all free. School, trades, farming, language learning, links to other free resources, and much more.
I built it for me and my family, and it’s cheap to host and cool, so I thought I’d share with everyone.
Feel free to share suggestions for improvements or requests on the homeschooling parts. I’m going to be using this and would love feedback on how it could be more useful.

“So who gets called "far right" in 2026? People who want safe cities. People who want to keep their culture. People who just want to live a peaceful life, raise their kids, and not have to board up their shop every weekend. People who want the law to apply to everyone”👇
My post about Hitler and the far right got millions of views. Clearly, it hit a nerve. So today I'm going to show you, step by step, why the notion of "far right" as it's used in France makes almost no sense. And why the people who wield it are usually the last ones who should be lecturing anyone.
Let's start with the only question that matters: what makes a political system work or fail? To a very large extent, it's the economy. A country that produces wealth, that lets its citizens create, trade and build, stays standing. A country that destroys that collapses, no matter how beautiful its slogans are.
And in economics, there are really only two worldviews.
The first is collectivism. The idea that the State knows better than you. That it must plan production, set prices, run companies, decide what you earn, what you buy, and eventually what you think. The individual is just a cog serving a grand collective project: the class, the nation, the race, the people.
The second is freedom. Capitalism, property, individual liberty, individual responsibility. The idea that millions of people creating value for one another produce infinitely more prosperity than an office of planners, however brilliant they may be.
Now look at the list of the great totalitarian regimes of the 20th century. Stalin: total planning, forced collectivization, millions dead. Mao: the Great Leap Forward and the deadliest famine in human history. Pol Pot: money abolished, cities emptied, nearly a quarter of Cambodia's population exterminated. Mussolini, the man who coined the word fascism: "Everything within the State, nothing outside the State, nothing against the State." And Hitler, leader of the National Socialist German Workers' Party, whose program proclaimed "the common good before individual good." He subjected the entire German economy to State plans: the Four-Year Plan, frozen prices and wages, unions dissolved into a single state labor front, industrialists producing whatever the regime decided.
Their flags were different. Their designated enemies were different. But the machinery was the same: the individual doesn't exist, only the collective matters, and the State decides everything.
Why does it always end in totalitarianism? Because collectivism doesn't work. And when a system doesn't work, it has only two options: admit failure or force people. They always choose force.
Ludwig von Mises proved it as early as 1920: without free prices, without a market, a planner simply cannot know what to produce, how much, or at what cost. He is flying blind. A planned economy isn't a less efficient version of the market. It's an impossibility.
Friedrich Hayek drew the political conclusion in 1944 in The Road to Serfdom, a book he dedicated "to the socialists of all parties." One chapter is titled "The Socialist Roots of Naziism." Another, "Why the Worst Get on Top." For Hayek, controlling the economy isn't controlling one sector among others. It is "the control of the means for all our ends." Whoever controls your bread controls your life. Then your speech. Then your thoughts.
Milton Friedman put it his own way: a society that puts equality before freedom ends up with neither.
So we know exactly what works. It's not an opinion. It's a century of real-world experiments. Listen to the Austrian school, Mises and Hayek, with Friedman from Chicago alongside them: economic freedom, limited government, individual responsibility.
And this is where we get to the great accusatory inversion. Part of the left-wing press spends its time screaming fascism. Why? Because the fascism fantasy is the best way to never talk about the track record of their own ideas. Deep down, they know: if their collectivist program were applied all the way, it wouldn't work, because a collective economy cannot work. And an economy that doesn't work always ends up having to coerce, surveil and ban. In other words, it becomes exactly what they claim to be fighting. The real heirs of totalitarian logic are not the ones being pointed at.
So who gets called "far right" in 2026? People who want safe cities. People who want to keep their culture. People who just want to live a peaceful life, raise their kids, and not have to board up their shop every weekend. People who want the law to apply to everyone.
If that's the far right, then the word no longer means anything. And maybe that was the point.

One day, Hafsa, one of Muhammaad’s wives, caught him sleeping with his sláve, Maria. Hafsa told Aisha, and chaos tore through Muhammaad’s household. The conflíct between Aisha, Hafsa, and Maria was so intense that Muhámmaad refused to speak to his wives for 29 days.
Even Allah and Umar had to step in to calm things down (see Quran, Surah At-Tahrim, verse 1 & 4). Allah kept revealing verses to justify Muhammad’s actions.
Verse 1. "O Prophet! Why do you prohibit ˹yourself˺ from what Allah has made lawful to you, seeking to please your wives? And Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful".
Verse 4 then threatens the wives...
"It will be better˺ if you ˹wives˺ both turn to Allah in repentance, for your hearts have certainly faltered. But if you ˹continue to˺ collaborate against him, then ˹know that˺ Allah Himself is his Guardian. And Gabriel, the righteous believers, and the angels are ˹all˺ his supporters as well"
Whenever Muhámmaad needed to pull another stunt, conveniently, a new revelation from Allah would arrive!
At some point, you have to ask yourself if these revelations were truly the will of an all-powerful God or simply Muhammaad’s own wishes dressed up as divine commands.
The problem per se is not Muhammad but Mecca.
There is no historical/ archeological evidence of there being a place called Mecca in the 7th century.
The other problem is when and who wrote the hadiths. These were 300 to 600 years too late and written by people who did not live in Mecca or even Medina.

X removed this video so I’ll be more gentle this time with the description, because this is the most important fact that everyone in the west must know and understand about Islam.
Take the most barbaric brutal period of Islamic history, that’s has to be exactly the same in the future when the west are weak and Islam has the caliphate power.
The massacres that you seen in Syria, October 7 and Africa are just a small previews.
there is a reason why Muslims don’t let the west teach real Islamic history, if you will try to teach it you will get Islamophobia lawsuit right away, they don’t want you to know what’s coming.

Thread 🧵
Anyone who thinks Muslims in the United States, Britain, France, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Sweden, Canada and the rest of Europe have different operating instructions than the Muslims in Gaza under Hamas, Nigeria, Syria or any other Muslim is badly mistaken. They all share the same operating instructions: the Quran and the Sunnah of Muhammad. The difference in how Muslims behave toward non-Muslims depends on the balance of power in each place. The history of Islam’s wars and conquests over roughly 1400 years shows this clearly.

These ‘protests’ are being planned in direct coordination with Gazan terrorists.
Thanks to the Palestinian genocide scam and the billions they have received, they are now able to fund the destruction of Europe.

This is quite a remarkable article to see in the Irish mainstream press. THE RISE AND THREAT OF THE FAR LEFT finally tackled.... @AnMailleach is a DCU lecturer on politics.
"what should we do about the rise of the far left?"
Another unexpected and excellent article in the legacy media this week. This time it is Eoin O Malley Malley writing for The Sunday Independent (he is also an Associate Professor in politics at the School of Law and Government at Dublin City University) who wonders if everybody has been wrongly focusing on so called "far right" when really it is the far left who are a threat to our society, with their propensity for being violent and encouraging violence in the pursuit of their ideological obsessions. We have put the full article within this post.
He has a go at @pb4p here, and won't be popular with his students after the mid term for that. Perhaps he may even have to deal with what we have had to deal with on a regular basis now for years - unprovoked aggressive physical and verbal attacks from far leftists, along with targeted campaigns of harassment, that most often go unpunished. They view everything through the lens of oppressor versus oppressed, and apparently having an opposing view to them makes you "the oppressor", hence they feel they have a right to unleash hell upon you. We hope @AnMailleach will not have to deal with these so called "anti fascists" (they are of course the real fascists), yet that is the reality of what you have to put up with when these ideologues feel entitled to target you.
The far left have really let their mask slip and others are FINALLY starting to see how dangerous they actually are, and how they've marched through our institutions, capturing them along the path. A lot of damage has been done by now - but we welcome the change of tone, even if it is as the clock strikes thirteen...
"After alarmism over far right, has France shown we’re looking in wrong direction?"
Every month, the Sunday Independent asks a sample of Irish people to choose the issues that most concern them. Top come cost of living, housing and immigration.
At the bottom are usually social media, the Trump administration, Gaza and the rise of the far right. Though the polls show few people regard these as very important, the State spends an inordinate amount of time and energy on them.
The rise of the far right was the reason the previous justice minister, Helen McEntee, wanted to introduce hate-speech legislation. When asked what the far right was, she couldn’t define it, but she saw it was people who might question migration policy and be "anti-government".
I was in the US last week, having been asked to speak about the rise of the far right in Ireland. As many cities in France burned because of protests encouraged by far-left leaders, I asked whether concerns were misplaced.
Should we not be asking what to do about the rise of the far left?
The protests in France emerged from concerns over school funding and probably a sense that career progression has been upended.
In the rioting and looting that followed, far-left leader Jean-Luc Mélenchon praised “white and ugly”. We also see intellectuals such as Nobel prize winner Annie Ernaux defending the protests on the basis that they are standing up to “austerity”, ignoring the galactic cost of the French state. They stood up to austerity by looting luxury shops. Louis Vuitton for all?
While some of that rioting and looting might have been opportunistic and recreational, one might have said the same about the Dublin riots two years ago. Yet those riots sparked reams of statements from politicians concerned about the rise of the far right.
We see no such hand-wringing for events in France. In fact, People Before Profit has celebrated what it terms the “youth revolt”. The Denakryte party has a meeting next Thursday where it will bring together people to “build a movement here capable of confronting capitalism”. PBP wants to bring protests “from the streets of Paris to the streets of Dublin”.
Were it not for the haplessness of PBP’s leadership, one might think that the State should do something about this. It is hardly overstating the case to say that the threat to France is existential. We absolutely do not want what we’ve seen on the streets of Paris brought to the streets of Dublin.
*The danger of the far left is not confined to France.* Last week in Spain, the ethno-nationalist party Vox had its opening event in the Spanish election disrupted by masked anti-fascist protesters. Riot police were needed to allow the meeting go ahead.
Anti-fascism looks an awful lot like fascism when they try to prevent those they disagree with from holding electoral events. The dangers of the far left are not confined to its violent attempts to upend the economy and democracy. It is also a threat to normal social relations.
Take the Government-funded ad telling us that grandparents should think twice before hugging their grandchildren: one of these occasional flare-ups where ordinary people get to see the capture of the State by ideologues who have no sense of Irish people or their values.
There is now, it seems, nothing that the far left feel the State should not regulate, including normal family relationships.
We might dismiss this as a thoughtless and zany group pushing an agenda. But it is far from thoughtless. It is planned. The aim is to transform social relations, including how we think and speak.
*Another example was the "Family A versus Family B" case study that was being taught* to our Junior Cert students through a SPHE curriculum that is pure ideology.
It characterised a traditional red-headed family wearing Aran jumpers, who eat bacon and cabbage, play GAA and holiday in Ireland, as inferior to the “diverse” mixed-race “blended” family who holiday in Europe and eat exotic foods.
As with the ads permission for a bus ad, that particular exercise was withdrawn because its absurdity was widely seen. But the ideological capture of the State continues through the state funding of NGOs."

It is a matter of historical fact that the two groups most prone to murdering or enslaving Christians are Communism and Islam.
The Democrat Party is now under the control of a marriage of convenience between literal Communists and Islamic Jihadists. This unholy alliance is popularly referred to as the "Red/Green Alliance."
If you are an American Christian, know this: the Red/Green Alliance wants you dead, or enslaved, or bankrupted, or persecuted so badly that you will not be allowed to live freely in American society.
They hide behind the lies of benevolence of seemingly harmless masks like Talarico.
Those masks will fall as soon as they achieve power.
There should not be a single adult Christian staying home for the midterms. Christians must vote like their life depends on it, because it does.
