Stefan Thomas, former Ripple CTO and founder of Coil, has worked on Interledger, an open protocol for sending payments across different ledgers and currencies, since 2014. For most of that time, there was no lasting network to join.
Stefan at @RippleSwell presents Dassie, which is a permanent, peer-to-peer Interledger network where anyone can run a node. Dassie adds two layers on top of XRPL: settlement hubs, where regional validators run a fast ledger backed by a multi-signature XRPL account so members can pay each other quickly without trusting each other; and the Dassie network itself, where nodes peer automatically and route payments across currencies and ledgers, starting with XRP and RLUSD. Why now? AI makes it possible to build and rigorously test software faster than ever, and it's driving demand for exactly the kind of fast, efficient payments Interledger was built for. Come see Dassie running live.

@justmoon Stefan Thomas is cooking on github in the past hours.
Getting things done before his Dassie Interledger presentation, using the XRP Ledger as a custody and settlement layer.
A lot is going on here. Let's touch on some 🧵:
He uses Dassie nodes and Dassie Hubs (Settlement hubs) as well as the XRP Ledger.
1) In his model, not every payment has to be a XRPL transaction, instead, many interledger packets on Dassie's network turn into smaller Dassie hub moves and those turn into very few final settlement transactions on the XRP Ledger. This is effectively mass scaling of payments.
2) He is also active on the testnet currently with different Hub Escrow accounts (not XRPL escrow) for XRP and DUSD, RLUSD for main net.
Definitely go into his session to learn more, this is just high level rundown.
Wait a second??! The Ripple Swell Agenda just got a new session and look!
Stefan Thomas @justmoon, the first CTO at Ripple who wasn't a co founder and Co architect of Interledger is tomorrow at Ripple Swell.
Showcasing a payment network, via Dassie the P2P version of Interledger and made possible by the XRP Ledger. Running 2 layers on top of the XRPL, a settlement hub + Dassie.
A session you should NOT miss out on!

🇨🇦 Canada just published its draft stablecoin rules (Canada Gazette, Oct 24).
What's in them:
✅ Non-bank issuers must register with the Bank of Canada
✅ 1:1 reserves in safe, short-term assets
✅ Pay holders back at full value within 3 business days, fees capped at 1%
🚫 No interest or yield just for holding a stablecoin (rewards for using it are OK)
This is a proposal, not law yet. 60-day comment period, with a target start in fall 2027.

Earlier this week I lost someone close to me. Death is abstract - until it is incredibly real.
He was the wisest, most thoughtful, and most generous person I have known.
I was incredibly fortunate to call him:
- a friend
- a mentor
- a role model
- an inspiration
But most of all, I was fortunate to call him Dad.

💙💛 I’M ASKING FOR YOUR SUPPORT — HELP ME TURN MY PASSION INTO A MOVEMENT! 🌍🎨
I'm going to be honest with you. Creating these NFTs takes time, creativity, passion, and a vision for something bigger than myself. Right now, I need your support to keep this dream alive.
I'm not just creating digital collectibles. I'm using my creativity to tell stories, spread messages, celebrate DigiByte, and support a mission that means so much to me: the DigiByte Africa Awareness Initiative (DAAI).
I've invested my own resources into helping everyday people learn about blockchain, discover new opportunities, and see a future beyond their circumstances. I've given because I believe that knowledge, opportunity, and financial education shouldn't be reserved for the privileged.
Now, I'm asking you to consider supporting my work by purchasing one of my NFTs. ❤️
Here's how you can make a difference:
🎨 Own an original piece of my digital creativity.
💙 Support an independent creator who believes in DigiByte.
🌍 Help bring more attention to blockchain education and the DAAI mission.
📢 Share my work with someone who appreciates digital art, music, NFTs, or cryptocurrency.
You don't have to buy every NFT. You don't have to be wealthy. Even sharing this message could help my work reach the person who is looking for exactly what I'm creating.
I'm not asking for sympathy. I'm asking for an opportunity to earn your support through my work and my vision.
If you've ever believed in someone building something from the heart, please take a moment to check out my collection.
If you purchase one, thank you for becoming part of the journey. If you share this post, thank you for helping me reach someone who might.
Every creator needs someone willing to believe before the world pays attention. Will you be one of those people for me? 🙏💙💛

What exactly should someone look for after removing the inner hardware?
🚨 D’CENT USERS — GO BACK AND CHECK YOUR XRP TRANSACTION HISTORY 🚨
I went back through my D’CENT wallet and found something I believe EVERY affected user should check.
Before my unauthorized withdrawal, my XRP wallet received multiple microscopic transactions:
🔎 July 3 — tiny XRP deposit
🔎 August 11 — tiny XRP deposit
🔎 August 24 — 0.000001 XRP
🔎 August 26 — multiple 0.000001 XRP deposits
🔎 September 17 — additional tiny deposits
🚨 September 17 — unauthorized XRP withdrawal
These tiny unsolicited transactions are commonly called dusting/spam transactions. By themselves, they do NOT prove how a wallet was compromised. But they can be associated with spam, tracking, phishing and address-poisoning activity.
NOW HERE'S WHERE THE TIMELINE GETS INTERESTING.
On August 10, 2026, D’CENT published an update titled “Your Wallet Now Says No to Scam Addresses.”
D’CENT said the new protection checked addresses against known spam and phishing addresses and would even display risk warnings on suspicious transactions appearing in a user's transaction history.
DCENT Shop
The very next day — August 11 — my wallet received another tiny unsolicited XRP transaction.
Does that prove D’CENT knew about the later unauthorized transfer? NO.
But it raises an important question:
Were any of the addresses dusting affected wallets already known to, detected by, or capable of being identified by D’CENT's new security system?
And remember: D’CENT's own incident timeline says it received its first report of an unauthorized asset transfer on September 16, began investigating that morning, and issued warnings later that day.

⚠️ IF YOU LOST FUNDS, CHECK YOUR HISTORY NOW.
Go back several months BEFORE your unauthorized withdrawal. Look for unexplained deposits such as:
0.000001 / 0.000002 / 0.000003 / 0.000007 / 0.00001 XRP
Screenshot them. Save the TX hashes. Record the sender address, date and amount.
If multiple victims received dust from the SAME addresses before their losses, THAT is something investigators need to know.
Don't assume the dust caused the theft. Document the pattern and follow the evidence.
🔎 CHECK YOUR WALLET. CHECK THE DATES. CHECK THE SENDERS.
