A recent report estimates that the Woodfibre LNG facility in B.C. will generate roughly $11.6 billion (yes, billion) in government revenues over its 40-year lifetime!
If that number itself is not shocking, consider that it will be coming from one facility. Exporting LNG provides an opportunity for economic growth that Canada is prepared to capitalize on. Canada will rely on the current and next generation to continue to grow our place as a go-to supplier. It is our responsibility as young Canadians to develop this industry to ensure prosperity for our country.

Good luck to the @Raptors this season, it's time to bring the chip back to Canada!
We all remember what happened the last time Kawhi was here😎
“Canada is blessed with abundant energy and minerals, world-class expertise and financial institutions, and stability and dependability that the world is looking for now more than ever.” - The Honourable Tim Hodgson
You got that right! 🇨🇦
Canada is not a one-trick pony. From resources to expertise, Canada can provide it all. We have what the world needs, and as demand increases across the board, it represents an opportunity to forge new and lasting partnerships that will ensure prosperity for generations to come.

With the Phase 2 expansion of LNG Canada, the country will be better positioned to export even more LNG to Asia. As demand continues to rise, energy projects create opportunities for Canada to strengthen existing and create new trade relationships, providing greater economic growth both now and in the future.
In the first 8 months of #LNG Canada exports, approximately 40% of shipments went to South Korea, 25% to Japan, 25% to China and the remainder to Taiwan. And the demand extends beyond LNG Canada's existing operations: bit.ly/4yVDSv2 @Resource_Works
Exporting more Canadian LNG is not just economic stimulus in the present, but also is an investment in the future.
Establishing Canada as a premier source of LNG for the world will create more opportunities for young Canadians in the coming years. It will allow the next generation to build on an already strong foundation, ultimately contributing to the country's long-term prosperity and place in the global market.
The wind off the Atlantic coast provides a natural source of power for Canada. With this potential in mind, the federal government has recently announced a $100 million investment to further Canada’s ability to harness wind energy in Nova Scotia.
This commitment will stimulate private investments into Nova Scotia’s “Wind West” project, which aims at providing reliable wind energy to the entire province. For young Canadians, a project of this size means more jobs in the industry. Wind turbines are not created and installed magically, Canada will lean on its brilliant workforce to build and maintain these large-scale projects.

Our thoughts and deepest condolences go out to all the families affected by the tragedy at CFB Wainwright.
Alberta is mourning alongside the Canadian Armed Forces and the families, friends and colleagues of those affected by the tragic incident at Canadian Forces Base Wainwright yesterday.
The loss of life and injuries are heartbreaking. On behalf of the Government of Alberta, I extend my deepest condolences to the families who have lost loved ones and wish those who have been injured a full recovery. Our thoughts are also with the military personnel, families and colleagues facing uncertainty and grief during this incredibly difficult time.
We are deeply grateful to the first responders, paramedics, physicians, nurses and hospital teams across Alberta who have mobilized to provide care to those injured. Albertans should all be incredibly proud of their frontline health care workers and our acute care system that has managed this mass casualty event. We’re also thankful to our neighbours in Saskatchewan who did not hesitate to support our response with additional air ambulance capacity, and to other provinces who have reached out offering their support and condolences.
I will be traveling to Edmonton today to meet with provincial ministers and federal officials. The Government of Alberta continues to work closely with the federal government and local authorities. We have convened our Emergency Management Cabinet Coordination Committee and the Provincial Emergency Coordination Centre (PECC) has been activated to a level 3.
As a mark of respect for those who have lost their lives and in solidarity with the military community and their families, flags at provincial government buildings across Alberta will be lowered to half-mast.
In the days ahead, our thoughts will remain with everyone affected by this tragedy. Alberta stands with the Canadian Armed Forces, the people of Wainwright and all those grieving during this difficult time.
The Yellowhead pipeline has broken ground! 🏗️
The 235 km pipeline will transport 1.1 billion cubic feet of natural gas per day from Peers, AB to Fort Saskatchewan with the first delivery to be expected in late 2027. Once operational, it is projected to contribute an impressive $3.9 billion to Alberta’s annual GDP! Additionally, the project is expected to create more than 2,000 jobs during construction, supporting workers and families from across Alberta.
Canada continues to take steps in strengthening its energy infrastructure, as projects like Yellowhead demonstrate the energy industry’s ability to create jobs for Canadians and support regional economies!

Saskatchewan’s newly announced “Delivering Energy Security Through Nuclear Power” plan outlines the goal to construct two large nuclear reactors in the Province by 2050.
This plan represents the potential for Saskatchewan to strengthen Canada’s position in the global nuclear industry and inject an economic stimulus into the province. This is something that young Canadians should look forward to. Not only will it require large amounts of skilled workers to construct the reactors, but it also signifies an ongoing interest in the expansion of nuclear energy across Canada.
Nuclear energy is growing, and you have a role in helping it develop.

The federal government has just listed the “Pacific Link Pipeline", that will span from Alberta to B.C, as a project of national interest. This announcement is a great step forward in the pursuit of building a stronger Canadian economy, as it creates another avenue to get our resources to international markets.
Where do young people come in? This is a project with massive potential that will ask young Canadians to fill the spots needed to construct and operate this pipeline. The future of Canada is being built now, and it will lean on the expertise of this coming generation to get it done 🇨🇦.

Things are looking good over in Kitimat 👀.
Today, a financial investment decision has been reached for a Phase 2 expansion of the LNG Canada site in Kitimat, BC. This is an incredible step forward, as it will add more supply to Canada’s trade arsenal, provide a deeper partnership with the local Indigenous peoples, and increase jobs for people in BC.
