the difference between a hobbyist and a professional is usually whether they finish the hard 20% or stop at the easy 80%.

a generic quote from an executive is worse than no quote at all. credibility comes from specificity, not position.

How is the internet less private than in 2006, when the whole family shared one computer? Back then, the internet was weird, personal, and all of ours. So, we got your favorite meme legends back together to say it louder: What happened to the internet? 1/3

Most partnerships are noise; co-marketing dressed up as strategy. The real partnerships are the ones where both teams are shipping with the same goal. The ones where they change the product. The ones where they make something users didn’t ask for...and then, suddenly can’t live without.

Most economic policy debates are really debates about who bears a cost that's already been decided will exist.

Morocco has officially reclaimed its banking sector. 🇲🇦 All three French banks have now exited retail banking in Morocco: ▪️ Crédit Agricole → sold Crédit du Maroc to Holmarcom (2022) ▪️ Société Générale → sold SG Maroc to Saham (2024) ▪️ BNP Paribas → selling BMCI to Holmarcom (pending) Once completed, every systemic bank in Morocco will be under Moroccan ownership the first time since independence. French capital's decades-long dominance of Moroccan retail banking is over. #Morocco #Banking #BMCI #Holmarcom #Sovereignty
Les banques françaises cèdent leurs filiales marocaines pour redéployer leurs capitaux. Que révèlent ces opérations de leur stratégie et de la montée en puissance des investisseurs locaux ?

A pass from an investor is rarely about your deck. it's usually one of three things: - they don't like you - they don't like the market - the timing is wrong. it's worth knowing which one it is.

For those who know their history, a wave of busted + delayed/cancelled IPOs was the topping signal in early/mid 2000 It's a sign that capital is becoming scarce And when capital becomes scarce, your boom goes bust
*DATA CENTER FIRM ELICE PLUNGES AS MUCH AS 32% IN KOREA DEBUT Really hot IPO market for neoclouds. Nscale’s up next!

Companies still banning ai internally are mostly protecting an org chart, not a security posture. The ones that keep doing it long enough won't need to worry about the competition. They'll just quietly become irrelevant.

I don't want flying cars. I want rivers and ocean I can swim in with friends. I want food that isn't full of toxic chemicals and clean soil to grow it in. I want raw nature and wilderness and places on the earth I can get lost without seeing another human. I want air that isn't "geoengineered" and polluted. Science is cool. Technological advancement is cool, but I don't think this makes us happier as humans. Real human connection and clean, natural food lead to happiness. This I know. Flying cars? I'm not sure. Maybe I am a troglodyte...

Back in the day Crypto Twitter worked because people cared. They picked sides, backed projects, shared trends, argued loudly. It wasn’t passive. Everyone had a stake, and conviction was visible.

The job market in this industry runs in the same cycle as everything else. when the last round of capital runs dry and tokens are down, teams cut down to senior and revenue-driving roles only. Hiring freezes are lagging indicators, not leading ones.

cofounder fallouts kill more early companies than bad markets do. solo founding beats a partnership you're not fully aligned on.

the market decides what "good traction" looks like at any given time, and that bar moves faster than most founders expect.
