Mbebo Nonna, the former Adisadel College Deputy Head Boy who helped the school finish as first runners-up at the 2020 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ), has resurfaced in a video shared on TikTok by the Adisco Santa 2020 alumni account, with his new look attracting attention. Nonna was part of the team that represented the Cape Coast-based school before they lost to Presbyterian Boys' Secondary School (PRESEC-Legon) in the final. Ghanaian musician Captain Planet is excited about plans to revive Ghana Airways, recalling his memorable experience flying with the former national carrier during his first trip to the United States in 2004. The former 4X4 member shared his excitement in a social media post on Monday, October 26, saying he was happy about the prospect of seeing the airline return to the skies. “My first time in America 2004, I flew Ghana Airways and it was a smooth flight. I’m happy Ghana Airways is coming back,” he wrote. His comments follow an announcement by Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa that President John Dramani Mahama is targeting 2027 for Ghana Airways to resume operations. Speaking to members of the Ghanaian community in Ottawa, Canada, on Sunday, October 25, Ablakwa disclosed that a technical committee established by the President had submitted its report on the proposed revival. He also indicated that President Mahama had held discussions with executives of American aircraft manufacturer Boeing as part of efforts to bring back the airline. A direct Ghana–Canada route is among the services being considered a priority for the proposed carrier.
