Why should people who gave their all for the same goal be mocked? Regardless of the predictions, I am so, so proud of every PLLI who gave their all alongside us and left nothing to regret. Having you by my side always gives me strength, and I am so grateful for that! Since when have we only tried when we had a chance of winning? In 2023, we endured even harsher mockery and finger-pointing, yet we quietly kept doing our part through that hellish year-end. Our Dudu comforted us when all that unfair hate hurt us. We told one another that our next chance would come, gritted our teeth, and kept streaming, downloading songs, and voting. And those efforts led us to “WAY 4 LUV.” Did we vote last week because the odds were in our favor? Everyone was caught off guard by an unexpected turn of events, but we refused to give up until the very end. That determination helped us overcome even the unfair setbacks caused by retailers failing to register shipment tracking numbers. And in the end, we earned first place on Music Core. So why? For what reason? We won this vote. Why should our efforts be belittled just because the predictions still put us in second place? No. They absolutely should not. Even with busy lives and so little time or energy to spare, PLLI came together with one wish: to help the artists we love, and the album they created, receive the recognition they deserve. Every one of you is truly amazing. Whatever people outside our fandom may say, please don’t let their words hurt you. Korean PLLI and international PLLI alike! Together, we surged from third place to first in an instant, showing a unity that few could match. If it were so easy for each person to trust everyone else and cast their votes right before the deadline, anyone could have done it. I was so grateful and moved by the heart and effort you put into making something so difficult look easy. The song and music video streaming results are disappointing. But I believe those who voted today care just as deeply about streaming, too. So I simply want to say: you worked so hard, and you did so well. And we still have to wait for the actual results. Please don’t feel too discouraged or too sad. As we prepare for the remaining votes, let’s give one another a hug, say, “You did so well! Thank you for all your hard work!” and keep going together. Thank you for walking this difficult road with us! I am so deeply grateful to you all, and I love you!
