While I agree with the overall message, I don’t think calling Ukraine a testing ground is fair. That phrasing diminishes what the country is experiencing.
For the past four years, Russia and Iran have been working together to upgrade their shared drones, testing them on Ukrainian civilians. Today, they are putting those innovations into practice in the UAE and Bahrain. All this time, the world kept saying it’s “just a Ukraine problem” — that we should appease Putin, and it would never escalate. Video: Faytuks Network footage shows an Iranian drone striking a building in Bahrain.

“Some liberals call her a Kremlin stooge”??? What? Some? Some??? Hey, @nytimes, are you out of your mind? Putin is her fucking godfather (like in literal “Christian” sense), her mother is a state senator in Russia and Sobchak herself is flesh and blood of “Putin’s new elite” 🤦🏻‍♂️

Ukrainian refugees are now being arrested by ICE agents who say they “support russia.” A Ukrainian father, Dmytro Kulyk, escaped russian drone and missile attacks back home, only to be grabbed by a group of ICE agents in a Walmart parking lot in Minneapolis. “I hoped I would find peace in America. I’ve done everything the government required. I don’t understand why I am behind bars,” Dmytro told The Daily Beast. “I came to America to escape the war, to pray in church, and to work hard.” Dmytro was picking up an order at Walmart when he found himself surrounded by immigration agents. He had been working as a delivery driver to make ends meet, while also supporting his family by doing roofing work. Dmytro legally entered the U.S. in late 2023 along with his 38-year-old wife and their daughter, who is now 5. The family was sponsored by U.S. citizens as part of the Uniting for Ukraine program, established in April 2022 to allow Ukrainians fleeing russia’s war to live and work in the U.S. on humanitarian parole. Once the initial two-year parole period expires, participants can apply for re-parole to remain in the country longer. That’s exactly what Dmytro did. His wife’s and daughter’s applications were approved, but his remains pending. He said he was putting groceries into his car when he was approached by three ICE agents: “I explained to the ICE officers that the war was killing people, that my wife had a disability, that we had escaped violence and terrorism. But one of them began to laugh. I asked why he was laughing, and I was told that he was pro-russian and wanted russia to win the war.” Dmytro cannot understand why he has been treated like a criminal. He did everything by the book, paid taxes, submitted his immigration paperwork on time, and worked multiple jobs to take care of his family. He has no criminal record. Yet ICE arrested him, and now he faces deportation to a war-torn country. This is the new reality of Trump’s America. An America I hardly recognize anymore. Source: The Daily Beast

My part time hobby (when an opportunity strikes) in Poland is making russians uncomfortable by asking them if they are Ukrainian and watching them try to wiggle their way out of having to say “no I’m russian”. 😁

The best thing I saw in Poland yet: BP gas station off a highway to Warsaw. 2am. An older British gentleman confidently hands Hryvnias to the cashier to pay for gas. She stares at him in confusion. “Oh right. We are in Poland. My bad.”

If you are driving from Kyiv towards the western border through Zhytomyr today, please be extremely careful 50km from the beltway. There are strips of black ice, snow, potholes, and all of the above at once. I almost ended up in a real bad accident while driving at 60 kmh when my car hit black ice and started spinning. I managed to regain control, literally miraculously. So. Let this be a cautionary tale.

Gotta love staring into the abyss at 5am unable to fall asleep because the bomb shelter wasn’t quite the most alluring place to sleep. Oh and my entire building is shaking because of 3 massive generators in our backyard that power a fish market. I can’t even make this up: another air raid came on as I was typing this tweet.

Not that everything russia has done before this information wasn’t crossing a line, but this is a majorly terrifying development crossing the deepest red lines. Guess what the world is going to do? Offer their their sternest language lol
NEW: Russian forces are reportedly preparing to conduct long-range strikes against substations powering Ukraine’s nuclear power plants. Other Key Takeaways: This warning comes as Russia continues its long-range strike campaign against Ukrainian energy infrastructure, resulting in widespread blackouts. Russian state media amplified a Kremlin-affiliated former Ukrainian politician’s statements to prepare the Russian domestic populace for the Kremlin’s rejection of peace in the near-team amid ongoing US, Ukrainian, and European negotiations. Russian forces recently advanced in western Zaporizhia Oblast.

Interesting note for all of the VPN debates. When my VPN was on 5 min ago, I didn’t even have the option of looking this info up. I turned it off. Now I can. My VPN is off but it still shows my location as United States. I will check back in a bit to see if it adjusts back to Ukraine. P.s. yes my App Store is American and this account was created in the US. I came home in 2023 after about 14 years in the US.

Let's quickly recap the past three hours: Republican and Democratic Senators say Rubio told them the 28 point plan was a Russian document, not an American plan. State Department says the Senators are lying. What a complete mess.

Here is a brain fuck for you. Kyiv is being bombed by ballistics as we speak. I’m on my friend’s couch in NYC frantically following the news. Her upstairs neighbors are likely moving furniture around and produce a lot of thuds. Because I’m very aware of all of the missiles targeting Kyiv, I shake with every thud. You can leave a war zone, but it won’t leave you.

Pavel Durov says he’s ready to buy back and return the jewels stolen from the Louvre — but there’s a catch “I’m not surprised by the robbery — it’s a sign of decline in a once-great country, where authorities distract people with imaginary threats instead of solving real problems,” the Telegram founder wrote. Durov added that he’s willing to donate the jewels “back to the Louvre — in Abu Dhabi,” noting that “in Abu Dhabi, no one steals.” The Louvre Abu Dhabi opened in 2017. Durov has continued to criticize French authorities since his arrest in August 2024. The investigation against him is still ongoing.

🇺🇦🙏 Ukrainian journalist Heorhiy Ivanchenko lost his leg in a Russian FPV drone strike. His colleague 🇫🇷Antoni Lallican was killed. From the first days of the full-scale invasion, Ivanchenko worked on the front lines — documenting Russian crimes, helping to evacuate people, bringing humanitarian aid, and being one of the first to enter liberated cities.

Rima needs major support with fundraiser
I have never had such a difficult time on this platform with visibility. I see my friends and others struggling too. I am an #American medic and TCCC instructor in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Please don't forget about us. We need your help. The war isn't over.
