I've been building interfaces with Angular for many years now. For my own products, for clients, and for the last few years as engineering lead at @mboadigital.
And for all those years, one thing kept frustrating me.
Every new project started the same way. Pick a UI library. Angular Material looked like Google. Other big suites looked like themselves. Making any of them look like "our" brand meant fighting the library instead of building the product.
Meanwhile, I was watching the React ecosystem. shadcn/ui and Tailwind changed how people build interfaces: components you copy into your project, own and change freely. Beautiful defaults, but never locked in.
I kept looking for the same thing in Angular. Something built for how we write Angular today: signals, zoneless, SSR. Accessible from the first line. Built for humans and recently, for AI agents. I couldn't find one I was happy with.
So I built it.
Introducing Ndop UI 🪡
An open-source design system for modern Angular.
- 50 components, 12 blocks and 5 themes you add with one command and fully own
- Accessibility tested in CI on every component: 0 axe violations
- Signals, zoneless and SSR-ready, for Angular 21 and 22
- Small: the button is 1.3 KB gzipped
- Updates still reach you after you customise a component
- Built for you and your coding agent, with an MCP server and docs that AI tools can read
Why "Ndop"? Ndop is the indigo royal cloth of Cameroon's Grassfields, covered in repeating geometric patterns. Every community wears the same patterns in its own way. That's exactly what a design system should be: a shared language that every app weaves its own way.
A few things I learned building it:
- AI helped me build this much faster than I could have alone. But the decisions, the architecture, the "no, this isn't right yet" moments, still had to come from me.
- Shipping early is humbling. The first developers to read the code gave me sharp feedback, and the library is already better because of it.
- A design system shouldn't make every site look the same. To prove it, I'm building Motifs: twelve landing pages for twelve fictional brands, all with Ndop UI.
Ndop UI is free and open source under the MIT licence.

If you build with Angular, I'd love for you to try it and tell me what's missing. And if it helps you, a star on GitHub goes a long way.

I built it, and I use it for every screenshot I post. It turns plain screenshots and screen recordings into clean posts with frames, backgrounds and annotations. Free, runs in your browser, no sign up.

Nigerian YouTube cannot work.
YouTube is not an app. It's an infrastructure
Even funded American companies cannot rival it.
Temu is not an app.
It's an interface to a robust unending manufacturing capability.
Amazon also is not an app.
It's a logistics infrastructure. It's just like you saying FedEx is an app or Nipost is an app
The app is just an interface connecting you to the real infrastructure
These things are not apps.
Fintech is not infrastructure, it's consuming an already existing infrastructure with compliance and regulations at the forefront
That's why app builders in Nigeria mostly build it.
IF GAMES IS NOT LUCRATIVE
WE NEED NIGERIAN TEMU!!!
WE NEED NIGERIAN APPS CONNECTING AGENTS TO LANDLORD
WE NEED LOGISTICS THAT CAN DELIVER IN MINUTES THE WAY CHOWDECK DOES
WE NEED NIGERIAN AMAZONS
WE NEED APPS FOR SERVICE PROVIDERS eg plumbing , carpentry
WE NEED NIGERIAN YOUTUBE.

Please don’t use what you briefly saw on Google AI Overview to argue with someone who deeply understands the topic & its nuances.
You will be embarrassed and you will deserve it.

Love is not above genotype
Subjecting a child to a lifetime of torture because of so called love is selfish and evil
Let’s be honest: if you truly love your partner, you will do everything possible to be together, regardless of their genotype. There are various medical options available that can help reduce the risk of having a child with sickle cell disease. There are different options to consider; the most important thing is love. When two people genuinely love each other, they can work together to overcome many obstacles.

Because the loudest among us don't seem to understand what a startup is and the fact we keep outsourcing the risk and then complain about ownership. I hope this puts to end the mental laziness.
