YES THIS! And knowing Danse Macabre is officially Jeongyo’s theme song makes it hit 10x harder... It proves the entire story is fundamentally centered around him and his impact on Pio. He really is the core of the whole narrative 😭 If Pio is the narrative’s eyes, Jeongyo is its heart. He is the melody that haunts Pio, the spark that ignites the drama, and the ultimate reason the story exists in the first place.

i need them in a drama fighting each other. no good side. both should be evil.

I hope people realise that when Pio took the blame it wasn’t just bc he wanted to protect his mom but bc he GENUINELY believed that he was responsible. When he asked his mom to confess he said “WE should confess” not “You” meaning he genuinely believes he holds responsibility
It's also the impromptu encore piece they play at their first duo concerto together, JY starts it and Pio just follows along!!
So it's also one of the first pieces JY played with Pio overcoming his fear!
Adults even ask them abt this later :)

i still get hurt so much by this scene bc the one person pio thought would understand him better than anyone else just spouted the same exact vitriol that he was never going to be good enough, that he was only stepping on the talent of REAL geniuses 🫠 pio aaaaaaa

Its mainly cos they both know how damaging money can be. Both had horrible childhood hence they know what money can really do. It can take but also give. And obviously this is unbearably life changing cos they lose a part of themselves the more they dive deep into their revenge.

Replying to @KseniyaGreen16 @yearnstill
So I think part of him wanted to become as cold as ice and never risk his heart again. To burn away every last feeling he had. And the other part desperately wants to get some kind of reaction from Pio that would give him this answer - about what is real, what Pio is real.

i just listened to this track in full and the section with nocture stands out in such relief to the tension of the rest of the piece. the entire music may be about jeongyo's pain but the section of nocture was preserved for him to tell pio

the more I rewatch, the more I realize that jeongyo leaving pio again was for their best
they were tragic, they needed that time to heal or atleast surpress that pain atleast a little with time

it’s gonna play at their wedding i just know
sth about kang yohan & choi jeongyo dousing themselves in the stench of the rich for their revenges, camouflaging their true natures & humble backgrounds while battling the self-repulsion that comes with mingling in utter degeneracy & pretending to enjoy it is so 🤌😋

AND THE WAY HIS MOTHER GOES IN THERE AND IS ONLY WORRIED ABOUT HIS HANDS LIKE WOMAN YOUR SON IS DYING
one artistic choice i RLLY appreciate being used in fhts is: danse macabre consistently haunting the entire narrative. its in the intro, engraved in the characters, a pied pipers tune that immediately causes the ears to perk up bcs ALL of us have been conditioned to respond to it
it was the FIRST song that connected them as children. then in teens, again, it was significant bcs that was where they RECONNECTED & found their common understanding of music. later, it becomes a haunting presence to pio. the same song that REUNITES him w jeongyo in czech.
