I hear a lot of talk about background music. Music for doing other things to. I wanna talk about fore ground music. Music that makes me stop doing things and pay attention.

Sad Holiday Faves, a playlist I made on @spotify for those of us with mixed feelings about the season. That sad holiday feeling without the over-stimulation.

My latest track, ‘Another Year’, is out today. It’s a song about feeling a little uneasy during the season of merriment and good cheer. Perfect for your sad indie folk holiday/existential new year’s eve party playlists.

‘Crying Shame’, a live take with @BenCottrill is out today. Ben and I had been internet friends for a few years but hadn’t met in real life until a few hours before we recorded this version, and it felt like getting together with an old friend:

It’s a song for anyone who’s felt like the grass looks greener somewhere other than where they’re at—about trying to find your own way in a culture of constant comparison:

My latest track, ‘Only Hurts When It’s Raining’, is yours today. It's about making peace with a few existential questions, that maybe what you’re certain of is far more important your doubts. Best enjoyed when it's raining.

‘Light Under The Door’ (Live), featuring @rebeccasichon21, is out today. I’ve been a fan of her voice for a while now and it was such a joy to be able to sing this one together.
