My expectations? For aang fans to endlessly compare this to the last airbender because they refuse to accept that 2005 was 21 years ago
WE HAVE SOME NEW INFORMATION IN THE AVATAR FRANCHISE ABOUT AVATAR KURUK!!
🚨 AVATAR KURUK: WAVE OF CHAOS — EVERYTHING WE KNOW SO FAR!
Avatar Studios is taking us back to the era of Avatar Kuruk, and this time, we're getting to experience his story as a teenager!
At just 14 years old, Kuruk is portrayed as a rebellious young Avatar who rejects traditional training and chooses to master the four elements through his own adventures.
Here's what we know:
🌊 The Story: The series follows Kuruk as he travels across the world, encountering pirates, spirits, different cultures and unexpected challenges.
🐾 Nikik: Kuruk will have a companion named Nikik, described as a koala-otter.
😂 The Tone: Unlike the darker expectations surrounding Kuruk's legacy, the series is being developed as an action-comedy.
🌍 The Lore: We'll potentially explore more of the Spirit World, Water Tribe history and the events that shaped Kuruk's Avatarhood.
🎬 Behind the Scenes: Bryan Konietzko is leading the project, while Janet Varney, the original voice of Korra, is involved as voice director.
What's particularly interesting is that we're finally getting to see the younger Kuruk, long before the tragic reputation he carries in the Kyoshi era.
The carefree Avatar before the tragedy. This could be one of the most interesting additions to Avatar lore.
What are your expectations for Avatar: Wave of Chaos? 👀

There is a criminal lack of Zi. She is literally so hot. I need more art of her now.

Avatars and their greatest feats:
Yangchen creating a tsunami
Kuruk sinking an island
Kyoshi creating an island
Roku dying in a volcanic island
Aang stopping a volcano
Korra creating a third portal
Nisha creating an anomaly
Pavi stopping the anomaly.
Roku is truly a bum
I do think by mid s2 or s3 pavi and nisha will reunite and become a true team avatar
We just gotta get a pavi vs nisha fight which is gonna hurt like fuck to watch😭
You mean to tell me the reason korra couldn’t access the avatar cycle was because her chakras were blocked???? She never lost the past avatars????
And since korra never unlocked those chakras it carried over to pavi and nisha
Ngl if you’re a korra hater yall are down bad rn😭
Seven havens has the best first season in the avatar franchise PERIOD and if you disagree you’re nostalgia biased
10/10

rob peace's story is one of extraordinary intelligence, ambition, and the harsh realities of the environment he grew up in. it's disappointing that a life this remarkable isn't more widely known

May I remind you, no one in dc remembered black lightnings anniversary until dc so white started so everyone who said that boycott was pointless can eat shit
And that’s the nice version of what I wanna say
DC Comics has announced DC Power: Black Lightning 50th Anniversary Special by Jenny Isabella,Brandon Thomas, and artist Fico Ossio.
It releases on Jan 27,2027!
"With Superman away from Metropolis, Jefferson finds himself responsible for protecting the city. Unfortunately, an old enemy plots his downfall, putting Black Lightning in a familiar position where saving the day may take more than a few lightning bolts. There’s also unfinished business in Jefferson’s personal life. With another potentially world-ending battle approaching, he wonders whether he still has time to repair his relationship with his ex-wife, Lynn Stewart. The special will explore those personal connections through its stories, bringing Jefferson together with his daughters, Anissa and Jennifer, and fellow heroes from across the DC Universe".
