A double rainbow is impressive, but a TRIPLE rainbow?! 🌈🌈🌈 This rare sight happens when rainbows reflect off a body of water, making a double rainbow appear to be a triple or even quadruple rainbow!

Goats!!!🐐
Mount St. Helens had some unexpected rooftop visitors! 🐐
Five mountain goats were spotted hanging out on the roof of the Johnstone Ridge Observatory, enjoying a pretty spectacular view of Mount St. Helens.
The observatory has been inaccessible to vehicles since May 2023, when a landslide destroyed the SR 504 Bridge. With fewer human visitors, it looks like the goats have claimed the prime viewing spot! 🗻 #WAwx

As I said yesterday the batten boards gave way but the “Old Girl Stood Her Ground” 🙌
Our Dam Safety team is inspecting Ocoee No. 1 Dam today following yesterday’s record flooding in Georgia and Tennessee. These inspections are routine after a major flood.
As much as 8 to 10 inches of rain fell upstream in north Georgia, sending floodwater down the Toccoa River, which becomes the Ocoee at the Tennessee state line.
Boards atop the dam’s concrete spillway are designed to be overtopped and break away during high flows, allowing more water to pass downstream. Those boards will need to be replaced.
We’re lowering Parksville Lake, the reservoir behind the dam, approximately 5 feet to accommodate repairs. Lake levels will remain below normal through December, depending on additional rainfall.
Get current lake levels on our free LakeInfo app📱or at tva.me/jz0M5104vJv
Work crews have started to cut through the trails after yesterday’s historic flooding of the Ocoee.
