Shout out to the brilliant costume designer Erin Roche for these. They were inspired by my high school friend Phil’s jeans that his mum helped him make. We figured Mapplethorpe’s mum would do the same thing. Ppl were nervous cos they were so baggy but Erin and I wanted everyone to have distinct silhouettes. (And don’t get us started on the hoody - we kept changing that design until the day before we had to film it).
