When we tell people education is important, they tell us how easily they have gotten rich without any formal education. See now where we are?

On Monday I drove from Masvingo through Zvishavane to @CityofBulawayo and was profoundly shocked by the state of the road. Although no where near as bad as the Bulawayo to Victoria Falls road the amount it has deteriorated in just a year is appalling. The road is breaking up and this process has been exacerbated by the high number of mining trucks using much of it. The road needs urgent attention. I fear that if its degradation is not addressed quickly this rainy season will destroy what is left of the road. What appalls me as Mayor of Bulawayo is that Bulawayo is rapidly being cut off from the rest of Zimbabwe. The only decent roads left are the Plumtree and Gweru roads. Bulawayo is all but cut off from Victoria Falls, Beitbridge, Kezi, Nkayi, Tsholotsho and now Masvingo & Zvishavane. I implore the @MinistryofTID to address the situation urgently. The attached photos of the Zvishavane road taken by another motorist this week show some of the degradation.

Am I really that powerful..to destroy the entire opposition, including you? Am I that uncouth, that cheap, or that morally bankrupt as to trade an entire nation and the future of generations to come for a few pieces of silver? Money has never been and will never be everything to me. Legacy is. I will not trade principle for profit, conscience for comfort, or the future of a nation for temporary gain. Money comes and goes, but history remembers. And when all is said and done, it is not what you accumulated that defines you, but what you stood for, what you defended, and what you left behind. That’s my story!

Nothing in life is permanent. Be humble. Life is constantly changing, and no position, power, or privilege lasts forever. Stay humble. Treat your opponents with dignity and respect. Never forget that everything can change. Blessed Sunday.

#ZimbabweWatch🇿🇼: In July, Pres. Mnangagwa’s Amendment to the constitution EXTENDED HIS TERM BY 2 YEARS and ABOLISHED THE POPULAR VOTE FOR PRES. The newly released @TheWJP 2026 Rule of Law Index ranks Zimbabwe a TERRIBLE 137th of 143 for "lawful transfers of power."

We all know that Wicknell Chivayo, ED's deceased "friend," funded the August 2023 election via a corruptly awarded ZEC tender, but we pretend not to because we are all terrified of the consequences of saying it from a personal safety standpoint. Stemming from this, the most effective way of stopping CAB3 was always via challenging ED's legitimacy using the sham August 2023 SADC SEOM Final Report. To this day, Chiwenga, Vets, Academics, political analysts & other so-called opposition leaders overlook this critical fact. The whole nation participates in an election. It gives political meaning & effect to what's encapsulated in the Constitution. An election should ordinarily bind the whole nation together as people vote beyond party lines. It's the most significant national event, selecting a government that represents it's people & giving it a mandate to govern. Governments which earn genuine mandates in free & fair elections rarely behave in the manner that ED's regime is behaving because they know that they are accountable to the people. That's what confers legitimacy, giving expression to the will of the people. We know that this was deliberately & illegally thwarted. It's reasonable to infer that this was done in furtherance of CAB3. Had the whole nation immediately come together & focused on that, chances are ED would have baulked & retreated from pursuing it. The challenge is many, including Chiwenga, selfishly failed to look beyond Chamisa. They failed to connect the dots. They chose to turn a blind eye! For Chiwenga & his supporters, it was likely a question of being fearful that supporting Chamisa would undercut his own path to power, & then opting for a conspiracy of strategic silence! He failed to realise that this would morph into an even bigger & existential challenge for him further down the road, which is now! ED has executed his mission in stages. He stole the election and followed this by hijacking CCC via Tshabangu, isolating & frustrating Chamisa, effectively turning him into a lame duck leader, leaving him with no choice but to step down. Now it's Chiwenga's turn to bear the brunt of his costly earlier strategic miscalculation. It's the equivalent of the frog in a slow burning pot syndrome all over again! He harps on about Zvigananda yet he overlooks the most powerful point in that sequence, the desecration of a sacred national election through the dubious awarding of a tender to Wicknell which has resulted in Chimombe & Mpofu's convenient, vengeful & lengthy incarcerations! If Chiwenga, the War Vets & others who are claiming to be staunchly opposed to CAA3 are being sincere, then they can't fail to clock on the stinking rank hypocrisy & opportunism of claiming to be fighting to defend the Constitution & stopping Zviganandas while ignoring the stench of a stolen election & its full ramifications on constitutionalism, legitimacy, democracy, good governance, accountability & the true legacy of the liberation struggle! – at Shadwell, England

Pleased to announce that this week we officially opened two new school buildings in Zimbabwe and Uganda! 🇿🇼🇺🇬❤️ In Uganda, we opened a brand-new education block, helping students in rural communities gain access to computers, technology and financial education programmes. In Zimbabwe, we’ve made some incredible improvements to our very first school, including a new borehole providing clean water, new toilet blocks, fencing and additional school buildings! It’s been an absolute pleasure travelling alongside some of our Academy members, many of whom have generously donated towards the Samuel Leeds Foundation and helped make these projects possible. I’ve always believed that success means very little if you’re not using it to give back and help those less fortunate. That’s exactly why I set up the Samuel Leeds Foundation all those years ago. Seeing the difference we’re making in these communities is something truly special, and this is only the beginning. ❤️
