The long touted hate protest against the UNC spectacularly failed today. (See aerial pic which media won’t show you).
The fake eat a food elite, local drug mafia, and the rich Indians, Chinese and middle easterners who the PNM MPs enriched at the expense of the working and middle classes during their time in government failed to show up in their numbers in POS.
Anything done because of racial and political hatred towards others will always fail. Hopefully the few persons involved got the opportunity to ask PNM MPs about their failure to pay backpay, increase salaries and offer more than zero percent increases over the last ten years.
I want to thank the TTPS who ensured no violence occurred against law abiding citizens along the route who were not involved in the march.
To the Unions and unions leaders that continue to work with the government, we appreciate your patience and we will work to ensure that all your outstanding issues are resolved as soon as possible.
To those who protested today, The march is over, your racial and political hatred has been rejected by the population, have a wonderful weekend, go back to work on Monday and always remember:
You have had leaders before me, you will have leaders after me but you will never ever have a leader who loves you more than I do.

MURDER TOLL DOWN 46% - THE FIGHT AGAINST CRIME CONTINUES! 🇹🇹
Trinidad and Tobago, we are seeing real progress in the fight against violent crime.
The numbers show a decline from 523 murders in October 28, 2024, to 305 in Oct 2025 and now to 280 in Oct 2026 - a reduction of approximately 46%.
Your UNC Government has placed a strong emphasis on confronting violent criminal elements, strengthening national security and restoring public safety.
From legislative changes to resourcing and equipping our protective services, we have ensured that our brave men and women are not outmanned or outgunned on the streets.
There is still much work to be done. Every life lost to crime is one too many, and our commitment must remain focused on making our communities safer.
I extend our appreciation to the Ministers of Homeland Security and Defence, Commissioner of Police Allister Guevarro, and the brave men and women of our protective services for their continued dedication and sacrifice.
The work continues.
The safety of our citizens remains the priority. 🇹🇹

Trinidad and Tobago's decision to vote against the United Nations resolution on Cuba reflects the Government's firm and unwavering commitment to democracy, freedom and the fundamental rights of all people.
I have made it clear publicly that Trinidad and Tobago will not support military dictatorship in Cuba. The United States Government has been spearheading a campaign for democracy in Cuba.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio @SecRubio of Cuban heritage is right, for Cuba to prosper, there must be political reforms and the democratic rights and freedoms of the Cuban people must be restored.
We cannot demand democracy, free and fair elections, freedom of expression and political rights for ourselves while remaining silent when those same freedoms are denied to the Cuban people.
Why should citizens of CARICOM nations enjoy the right to freely elect and change their governments while the Cuban people are denied that same democratic choice?
Our position is against military dictatorship and supportive of the Cuban peoples rights to democratically elect a government of their choice. The Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago empathise with their suffering and hardship. However for years the argument of compassion for the Cuban people has been manipulated to support a military totalitarian political system that denies them fundamental democratic freedoms.
While the Cuban people suffer, the leaders of the Cuban regime and their families live in luxury. The exploitation of ordinary Cubans to support the lavish lives of those associated with the ruling regime has to end.
We respect the sovereign right of other nations to determine their foreign policy, and we expect that same respect in return. Those persons in Trinidad and Tobago who support dictatorship in Cuba would never support it in our own country. There is nothing romantic or idealistic about dictatorship masked as a revolutionary struggle for freedom.
The Government of Trinidad and Tobago stands for democracy, freedom, human dignity and the right of every citizen, including the people of Cuba, to freely determine their political future.
The United National Congress commends all nations who stand in solidarity with the wonderful people of Cuba.
