To say, "God is love," is to say the whole truth all at once. Everything after that is exposition. Everything contrary to that is heresy.

“God is love” (1John 4:8), therefore God is infinitely merciful. Mercy is a dimension of love.
God is love, therefore God is infinitely just. Justice is a dimension of love.
God is love, therefore God is patient. Patience is a dimension of love.
God is love, therefore God is humble. Humility is a dimension of love.
God is love, therefore God is kind. Kindness is a dimension of love.
God is love, therefore God is generous. Generosity is a dimension of love.
God is love, therefore God is relationally faithful. Faithfulness is a dimension of love.
Everything that is true of God, is true of God, because, and precisely because, God is love. All good and beautiful attributes of personhood are present in God in perfect synthesis and equilibrium, each one contributing to the totality of God’s character and together composing the whole reality of who God is.

In the final analysis, all of us are going to realize that it was the gentle ones who were right all along. When all is said and done, the meek, the poor, the persecuted, those on the downside of power working for justice, those on the margins of society longing for love, joy, and peace to rule the realm of humankind—they “shall inherit the Earth.” Matthew 5 #Scripture

Your big task in life is to see beauty and potential in people that they cannot see in themselves. The good you see in a person, they will begin to see in themselves, and that makes it the best gift you can give to a fellow human being.

The resurrection of Christ was the triumph of love over selfishness. An onslaught of violent hate was unleashed upon Him, but He just kept on loving us to the utter end of Himself. Satan’s strategy was to torture Him into abandoning humanity by even a single act of self-preserving retaliation. When Jesus died with His love for sinners fully intact, Satan was defeated and the war between good and evil was won in principle. Now, by the proclamation of that victory, the war is won in individual hearts. #HappyResurrectionDay

You’re gonna have to run pretty fast and far to outrun the Lover of your soul. But no matter how fast you run, He’s faster and will always be breathing down your stiff neck. All you have to do is stop running and turn around, and the God of all mercy will crash smack dab into you, shattering your life into a million pieces and then reassembling it into something more beautiful than you can imagine.

THE RIGHT VS THE LEFT
A Coherent Rant (hopefully😉)
“There’s nothing as stupid as a stupid conservative,” the fella said to me. "Except a stupid liberal,” I replied. “Oh, yeah, I guess that’s true,” he said with a look of bafflement mingled with enlightenment on his face.
My point, of course, was and is a simple one, and self-evident, too. And it is this:
Stupidness cannot be corralled on the right or the left. It just roams around free, wherever it wants. It’s not a conservative trait or a liberal trait, but rather a human trait that shows up all along the liberal-conservative spectrum, as do dishonesty, lust, and greed. Surely you've noticed.
It is absolute intellectual laziness to categorize people as good guys and bad guys along liberal-conservative lines.
If our allegiance is to Christ, you and I have a responsibility to think, which necessarily requires that we intentionally NOT ally ourselves with what the monetizing media voices call “the right” or “the left.” Rather, we must intentionally ally ourselves with truth and righteousness wherever it be found, and treat everyone with impartial dignity and respect wherever they be found along the liberal-conservative gamut.
One of the stupidest thing you can do with your brain is to say to yourself, “I am a conservative“ or “I am a liberal,“ while entertaining the naïve assumption that the "side" you identify with is made up of the good guys whereas the other side is made up of the bad guys. (Please that sentence one more time as I apologize for its length).
It is a self-insult to the intelligence and dignity of your humanity to go through life uncritically loyal to either the liberal wing or the conservative wing of politics or religion. It is the easiest way to feels like you are with the good guys without having to think much.
You must be loyal only to principles. And if you are loyal only to principles, it is an absolute certainty that you will see those principles wherever they show up, without regard for party lines. And that necessarily means you will become politically homeless among this world’s political parties, a pilgrim passing through from another realm, a refugee from another kingdom that once came to earth and was embodied in a man who was God in the flesh, who lived out before us a politically transcendent love that knew no boundaries. In Christ we witness something radically different than the us-vs-themism that characterizes our world. In Christ we witness a politics of love.

You are built for giving yourself totally, passionately, unreservedly, with obsessive interest to something. That something is love—love for God and for people.
Not sports.
Not politics.
Not shows.
Not video games.
You are going to be a fanatic about something. Why not love?

2/5 Freedom is necessary for the existence of moral goodness, which means the reverse is also true: moral goodness is necessary for the continued existence of freedom. Widespread immorality prepares a people to be dominated.
Zac Page retweeted
"The moralist, trusting in his own goodness, will be found wanting" (E.G. White). The moralist points the finger outward at others to evade detection of their own immorality. Moralism is rebellion against God masquerading as devotion to a cause—and it's the religion of our times.

The church has made the preacher & the worship music the “product” it offers, which has turned it into a 5th Avenue competition with winners and losers. Huge mistake! According to Jesus, the “product” the church ought to offer is love, acceptance & relational health. John 13:35

When someone criticizes you, accuses you, or gossips about you, maybe respond like this: “That’s nothing. I’ve done worse than that. What you’ve said about me isn’t true, but other things about me, as bad or worst, are true. I survive against myself by God’s grace.” Romans 3

When Jesus came into the world, He was overwhelmingly attracted to the disowned, disliked, and disenfranchised: the poor, the sick, the immoral, the used, the depressed, the hurting, the jacked-up and the knocked-down. That’s me, so I know Jesus is attracted to me. Hallelujah!
