🔍 Finding & testing indie projects 💸 $4 / $1,000 spent trying your apps https://xitter.cf/t.co/KIwyN2i4wd

Haven't posted here in ~6 months. Last time I was active, I went from 0 → 1k followers in 3 months, mostly by meeting people building cool stuff. Now I'm back with a new goal: meet as many indie builders as I can and actually test what they're building. I'm putting $1,000 aside to buy and try your apps. Time to start again 🚀

Would you rather have 100k followers on X or a SaaS making $10k MRR?

Someone out there has built an amazing product with 12 users. And nobody knows it exists. I want to find those projects

At this point, knowing how to prompt Claude is becoming more valuable than knowing how to code. A lot of developers aren't ready for that conversation.

Some of you spend 3 weeks picking a tech stack for an app that could've been built in 3 days.

$1M cash today or $10k MRR from your own SaaS forever?

I want to find the next indie app worth paying for. Already bought one from someone who replied to my posts. Who's next?

Hot take: paying $200/month for Claude doesn't make you a 10x developer. It just makes you a developer with a $200 subscription.

Monday again. Who's building something instead of pretending to work today?

Building in public is slowly becoming a bunch of people selling to other people who are also trying to sell something. Where are the actual customers?

What's the most expensive mistake you've made while building a side project? Money, time, or both.

Sunday is for discovering new projects. I have $996 left of my $1,000 budget to try indie apps. If you've built something I can actually use today, send it my way. Paid apps welcome.

I don't get why people still spend months building an MVP in 2026. If you can't ship a first version in a couple of weeks with AI, you're probably overengineering it.

Sunday morning check-in. Who's actually taking a day off, and who's already opened their laptop?

AI coding tools are creating a generation of developers who can ship entire apps but can't debug a simple issue without asking Claude.

What's one feature you spent weeks building that nobody ended up using?

Most indie hackers spend 90% of their time building and 10% finding customers. Then wonder why nobody uses their app.

We’re reaching a point where everyone can build an app in a weekend. Which means shipping an app isn’t impressive anymore. Getting someone to actually use it is.

I tried Gauge by @HackneyManLee, a free app that checks your CV against a job ad and writes interview prep questions. It just works, and the details are well thought out. To stand out from a general AI chat, it needs more custom integration with different recruitment/interview services or more custom features Review: check.0xalex.com/projects/ga…
