Then you dont understand Bitcoin. 0.1 BTC 5 years ago have made many people financially free today. Study Bitcoin.
Hacker should have kept everything and stayed silent.

Bitcoin will reach global adoption by scaling through layer 2..
LIQUID “WHITE-HAT” HACKERS DEMAND 10% BOUNTY FROM BLOCKSTREAM
The group behind the ~4,000 BTC Liquid exploit has accused Blockstream of spending only $1.5 million, “maybe even 0,” to secure $5 billion in assets.
In a new on-chain message, the hackers demand a 10% bug bounty paid from Blockstream’s own money, warning that refusing would cause holders a 15% loss.
They also say they will publish the private key needed to decrypt their previous conversations with Blockstream.
The message comes after the group returned 3,400 BTC to the Liquid Federation, with roughly 600 BTC remaining unreturned.

ŁTC & Doge brings permissionless sound money for the people. Opt out of the world of central bank money printing and tyrannical surveillance
If only there were signs.
This is the first time I mostly hold BTC as an investment. For the NGU.
Before, it was the biggest no-brainer far beyond that.
It was the exit. The rock solid, unfuckable-with store of value. Separation of money from state. No third parties. Sovereignty. Digital truth in the form of a lean monetary ledger.
Those qualities have, in my opinion, eroded a lot. Slow capture. More centralization. More relativizing and fiatizing of what Bitcoin is for. And there are seemingly no brakes. Just cheering when the people who still wanted Bitcoin to be money, not data storage, lost.
Nodes decide, not miners. That used to be shared ground. Now it will get you ridiculed.
I do not see the current trajectory, governance capture, or mining concentration reversing, not with the current attitude and behavior from the suits, the influencers and the social layer in general. That is why my faith in the project today is much weaker than it used to be.
I am not calling the Blake2b chain Bitcoin.
I am glad the fork happened. It is a live attempt to reassert principles a lot of us thought were settled: monetary protocol, hostile to spam, nodes enforcing rules, miners do not get to veto by selling block space for JPEGs and other non-monetary use.
Whether it works at any meaningful scale is unknown. The energy around it is real. That resonates more with me than victory laps from people who treated BIP-110 as a joke and then celebrated when centralized hashpower blocked it.
My position:
I am not selling my BTC.
I am not telling anyone else to sell.
I intend to hold both sides for now.
Nobody should be buying or selling either side of this split yet. The dust has not settled, liquidity is a joke, and rushed claim tools are how you lose funds.
I urge everyone to make their own, well researched and responsible decisions.
Most of my attention and interest now goes to the chain that still treats spam as spam, instead of inviting more of it and saying the debate is settled.
Funny enough, Justin blocked me for raising the exact concerns he’s complaining about now. The ironic karma is beautiful. 😂
Monero's Tail-inflation can guarantee miners 0.6 XMR per block for as long as you like, but it cannot guarantee the purchasing power of that reward, the demand for those newly issued coins, or the amount of network security that reward will ultimately purchase.
-Alan Greenspan
The smartest thing Monero ever did has nothing to do with privacy.
It's tail emission.
0.6 XMR per block every 2 minutes forever.
That's 432 XMR a day on a supply of 18.8 million so under 0.9% a year, and it gets smaller every year.
Now look at Bitcoin:
> Every four years the subsidy gets cut in half.
Eventually it hits zero and the entire security of the network depends on fee revenue alone. Nobody knows if that works.
Monero took the opposite route in 2022.
Miners always get paid and the cost of it is an inflation rate lower than the gold supply growth.

Monero guarantees an issuance rate, not a particular level of security.
Sounds familiar...

Being centralized ain't all that bad, most people hold their Bitcoin on exchanges anyways so we'll be able to scale Bitcoin through custodial scaling. This also gives us exposure to NGU without the headache of self custody.
Corner a Bitcoiner in an argument with hard data that they can't refute and they will block you. This is law.

You still haven’t answered the ratio at all. I showed the trend clear as daylight here:
Everyone watches the Bitcoin price. Almost nobody watches what’s happening underneath it.
Average annual market cap vs. total miner revenue (subsidy + fees):
Meanwhile, competition for blockspace is practically nonexistent. As the subsidy dries up, Bitcoin needs a real fee market. Moving more and more economic activity off L1 while starving miners of fees isn’t a long-term security model. Make Bitcoin great again.

Saylor’s “Bitcoin Reformation” is pure psychological warfare.
They want you to forget the whitepaper title:
Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System.
Bitcoin is money.
Not “digital capital.”
Not a corporate treasury toy.
Not a base layer for every financial product they invent.
The moment you accept the redefinition, you lose the plot.
Bitcoin is money.
Nothing more.
Don’t Trust, Verify.
