The justice secretary has completely rejected the advice of the government’s own independent review of the crisis in the #CriminalJustice system by imposing a real-terms cut on legal aid rates for solicitors

Today, criminal barristers begin indefinite strike action, in response to years of government cuts to legal aid and defunding of the criminal justice system.
