🔥 As we approach the 8th edition of ODHack, it’s incredible to see how far we’ve come thanks to our strong community. 🫶 But none of this success would be possible without the dedication of our maintainers. They’ve been amazing in driving ODHack forward. 💡As a reminder, #ODHack was born to solve a major challenge: helping newbies find meaningful open-source projects in web3. Contributors were wasting time searching, while project leads struggled to find the right talent. It didn’t take long for ODHack to resonate with the community. 💪 With each edition, ODHack gained momentum, evolving into a monthly event that brings together more contributors and project leads with on-fire support and energy. 🫡 After 7 editions, here’s what we’ve achieved together: - Over 1000 ODHackers. - 65+ participating projects. - 400+ completed issues. - 25 meetups worldwide (special shout-out to @Dojo_Coding @pauline_unik @Blockheaderweb3 @Faytey7 @W3CG_Labs @_SDAV @_chachaleo @Carlos_42strk @NetSepio...🫶). - 400K+ in grants distributed. 🥳 And to top it off, ODHack 7.0 was our most successful edition yet! 🙌 Big up to the amazing maintainers and projects like @sylvechv @wraitii @hyle_org @PaltaLabs @Flex_strk @andeebtceth @Fricoben @starknet_quest @Rmzlb @CaseyWescott @Niceralab @ceccon_me @justjaipal @apibara_web3 @Cheelax_ @zKorp_ @prince_ibs @Maxvfresh001 @LudoOnStarknet @MSG_Encrypted @AFK_AlignedFamK @k_fastov & @agadrupal for their outstanding support. 🔥The results were lit: - Nearly 300 contributors sought to get assigned to an issue. - Over 120 of 150 open issues were completed. - Projects like @starknet_quest and @LudoOnStarknet gained 20+ new contributors. We also introduced two exciting new projects from the @Starknet ecosystem— Starknet Ludo and @AFK_AlignedFamK — led by former contributors who have now stepped up as project leaders. 🤩 Their passion and responsiveness throughout the onboarding process were truly inspiring. 🤝 This shows how strong communities drive web3 forward.
