And faster, oh so much faster dispute resolution through courts. We will need to have courthouses everywhere like we currently have churches, to settle disputes real quick.
One way to get more private sector capital into this country is to guarantee security at the very least

The correct analogy is that someone was giving away rice they borrowed money to buy, then when they died, their descendants was like "this is retarded. If people want rice, they should pay for it. We'll even allow them a credit facility. But going like this will bankrupt us."
This is how stupid our people are. And it’s most of the population I am selling rice for N1,000. Rice is essential for everyone to eat. Everyone is buying the rice. Suddenly a new producer comes and says rice is now N10,000. You complain and groan. He now goes “Ok I will give you loan so that you can afford the N10,000 rice”. You now jubilate and say “This man is trying. He cooked with that loan for me to be able to afford rice” This is the tale of NELFUND.

But they are actually doing what you say they are not doing
China doesn't want to be. China sailed the world before the West did. They didn't colonize anybody. China would be building military alliances if they want to be the world power. But they're not. One of the surest way to be a global power is via military power projection.

1) I never said Nigeria was a welfare state (how can we be when we cannot even meet basic financial obligations?), I said Nigerians demand for one, which is TRUE. 2) America, when compared to Nigeria, is ABSOLUTELY a welfare state. America spends about 20% of its gdp on welfare, Nigeria spends less than 1% and STILL cannot pay for it that’s why we have such a huge budget deficit. On those figures, the US spends roughly 56 times as much of GDP on social protection as Nigeria does. And ON TOP of that the Nigerian state pays for soooo many subsidies that Americans don’t even have access to (which is why the services EVENTUALLY fail; tertiary education, power, healthcare etc). So the Nigeria state already bears a lot of burdens it has to pay for — the solution isn’t to add to those burdens but to find a way to pay for the ones it already carries!!! (Which, AGAIN, it obviously cannot pay for — do you know how much we owe GENCOs… who will pay for that?) 3) If Peter Obi doesn’t have a policy on subsidy (at least by this your comedic deflection) why should ANY Nigerian with any brain cells vote for him?
You have made it a Peter Obi discussion now but your claim was misleading. Nigerians demanding welfare does not make Nigeria a welfare state. I have just told you how much the United States of America spends on what you consider welfare and we can breakdown Nigeria’s budget even at the peak of subsidy (which was riddled with fraud that cannot be ignored) and we still will not have a welfare state. Don’t worry about Peter Obi, your claim was bullshit

There is nothing wrong with this statement
You can be against the current administration and still understand that Nigeria is a poor country. Those are not conflicting positions.

Mr. 15th printed trillions of naira and dipped just like that.
Country will have a revenue of 20b, but because everyone thinks money grows on trees, the National Assembly will pass a budget of 60b. Where will the remaining 40b come from? Well, you have to borrow. Of course, that puts a strain on revenue for next year which is already not enough in the best circumstance. So what do we do to solve the problem next year? HAVE AN EVEN BIGGER BUDGET 🤣 Where will the money come from? Is it me that will provide it? 🤣🤣 olorun jhur saanu mi lowo awon government agbako 🤣 Of course it gets to a point where no one wants to borrow us money again because the people borrowing us initially aren’t actually retarded. So what happens next? Money printer goes BRRRRR If you aren’t an uneducated moron, you know the effects of that is *literally* wartime inflation, which is why we had inflation up to 34% in 2024. This, as expected, makes people poorer, which makes them demand for even more subsides which we originally do not have the money to fund. Does it end there? No, the next year we have an EVEN BIGGER BUDGET because inflation is now 34% and that’s what you do when inflation is at that point. And on and on it goes, which is why we ALWAYS have a budget deficit and FREQUENTLY have INSANE (basically catastrophic) inflation figures every decade. Developed nations strive for a 2-3% inflation rate per year, Tinubu will be a miracle worker if he can deliver EVEN 7% inflation!

The problem isnt the printing but the printing wasnt backed by substance which is one of the reasons we are where we are today

You can talk about both regardless. How that affect optics might not be one's problem. The truth remains regardless of who is in power
Talking about revenue generation instead of corruption immediately after Dayo Israel spent one billion on Prados is helping the enemy, whichever way you slice it. You're helping them execute their playbook.

Rwanda is ranked the 3rd least corrupt country in Africa, yet it has only 5 MRI machines while very corrupt Lagos has 14. This shows that investors consider other factors, not just corruption, before investing.
lol, again, this is false. 🇺🇸’s industrial age in the 19th century was built when it had terrible corruption. Reducing corruption will reduce efficiency drag but won’t make your country better if other factors ain’t fixed.

Today, I flagged off the enforcement of Executive Order EO/BOS/01 of 2024 and unveiled the Lagos Private Health Plans (LPHP), which will extend health insurance coverage to salaried workers and corporate organisations, complementing our existing Ilera Eko scheme for vulnerable residents and those in the informal sector. Healthcare costs are rising rapidly and relying on cash payments when an emergency strikes simply does not work. We are changing that system today so that quality care is accessible to all without putting your life savings at risk. We are giving every resident until December 31, 2026, to get covered, with formal enforcement beginning on January 1, 2027. While our Ilera Eko scheme continues to protect vulnerable citizens and workers in the informal sector, we have introduced the Lagos Private Health Plans to serve corporate organizations and salaried employees. Twenty-one HMOs have already joined us as partners to expand this coverage across the private sector. To ensure no one is left behind, we tripled our Health Equity Fund from ₦1 billion to ₦3 billion. This allows us to pay premiums directly for over 500,000 residents who cannot afford insurance on their own. We are also setting a firm boundary for all healthcare providers, no hospital in Lagos is permitted to turn away anyone needing emergency care due to financial constraints. Patients must be stabilized first before any payment or insurance details are discussed. To our business owners and employers, employee healthcare is not an optional extra, it is a mandatory responsibility just like pensions. To our doctors and medical professionals, strengthening our healthcare financing builds the solid foundation we need to keep your talents right here at home. We are protecting families from the burden of unexpected medical bills, helping more people seek care when they need it and building a healthcare system that works for everyone. No one should have to choose between getting medical care and protecting their household finances. This is how we build a healthier Lagos where quality healthcare is accessible, affordable and within everyone’s reach.
