Don't settle for Downs. Go big game hunting.

“According to ESPN research, the Niners have a pressure rate of 23% using four or fewer pass rushers, the second-worst mark in the NFL.” Deforest Buckner and his 4 sacks, which lead all #49ers players, will help crank up the pressure for DC Raheem Morris. espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/5030…

Colts make second major trade, send DT Buckner back to 49ers

Trade: Colts are sending three-time Pro-Bowl DT DeForest Buckner back to the 49ers, the team that made him a 2016 first-round pick before dealing him to Indianapolis in 2020, per me and @rapsheet. Now Buckner returns to San Francisco, fortifying the 49ers defensive line.

Nice retort. Halton grades out better against the run and they already invested a 3rd in Osa. You want to spend more draft capital on a 32 year old DT who isn’t a run stuffer and is on an expiring deal? But I should stfu?

Per the same source who gave me the tip that the 49ers were negotiating with Indy for Buckner “They’re not done yet, either!”
