Food production ceasing in the bread basket of England to be replaced by sugar grown on land from the Amazonโ€™s cleared rainforests using chemicals banned here. What on earth are we doing as a nation? @DefraGovUK
The last ever crop of sugar beet to be grown on the farm is heading to Newark factory. Sad times but we canโ€™t keep producing food and not making a margin. At least the soil and farm roads will be pleased in a wet time!!

We need more people speaking out against the genocide of Christians in Nigeria. Thousands have been killed for their faith - and the world keeps ignoring it.

This tree was planted by my Grandfather when he returned from WWI action in 1919 in memory of his brother George Brown killed in action on the 5th of November 1918. A living link to those brave men who fought for our freedom. Lest we forget.

If youโ€™re not able to buy anything, Iโ€™d love it if you could share this to get as wide a reach as possible. Itโ€™s such tough times for artists but hand drawn things are so important to keep alive in a time where AI is becoming more prevalent. Iโ€™d be so grateful, thank you ๐Ÿ’› (3/3)

A couple of bookmarks, or a coaster, maybe a print if youโ€™re feeling fancy! Sales have been so low and much as I hate doing it, I really need to blow my own trumpet now in the hopes it might help! I can ship to the UK, US, Canada, Aus, NZ but sadly not EU countries ๐Ÿ˜ฉ (2/3)

Today is International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church. Please join us in marking this day by praying for our persecuted family. To guide you, here are four ways to pray... ๐Ÿ™ Peace โ€“ pray that the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will fill the hearts of those suffering for their faith (Philippians 4:7) ๐Ÿ™ Perseverance โ€“ ask the Lord to direct our brothers and sisters' 'hearts into Godโ€™s love and Christโ€™s perseverance' (2 Thessalonians 3:5) ๐Ÿ™ Protection โ€“ ask God to protect His children from harm (Psalm 140:1) ๐Ÿ™ Petition โ€“ pray for momentum, favour and impact with the Arise Africa petition. The church in sub-Saharan Africa is calling on their global family to stand with them as they face violent persecution for their faith โ€“ thank you so much for standing with them in prayer.

Nothing highlights the fiscal failure of this government more starkly than the plight of Poundland. The chain's 600 stores and 12,000 workers sit on the verge of collapse, not because its customers have walked away - Poundland's sales grew by 6.7% in September - but because of this government's unaffordable tax rises, which makes it impossible to run a business that works on slim profit margins to keep its prices down for its customers. How ironic that a government preaching about helping the least well-off is forcing a company out of business that does just that.

What people like Miriam Cates, the pensioner hater, need to know are these facts: In the 1960s, most pension schemes legally barred married women and part time workers from joining a private pension scheme. In the 1970s, private pension provision was largely restricted to public sector jobs. During these decades, many women opted for or were put on the reduced national insurance stamp meaning they'd get a smaller state pension than their husbands. Women didn't routinely have access to financial advice like they do now. They trusted the government and their husbands to take care of them. You may not like this. You may think it's unfair or women were daft to accept this. But that's how it was. Back then. Equality didn't exist. And you can't change attitudes and history. So no. Women couldn't have made better provision for their old age.
