Can't hold Brady Rawlings down for long
North Melbourne has its eyes on ex-Tigers big man Samson Ryan as a delisted free agent.
The Roos have several links to the 25-year-old and are going to be busy in the DFA window when it opens in November. afl.com.au/news/1632350/fron…

Has anyone actually told Jarryd Roughead that he's the List Manager? I'm not sure he knows @traderadio

Just quickly, if compensation picks were put in the bin or severely reduced in value, none of the conjecture of side deals, herbs and spices, manipulation etc would exist in AFL trade.
Would getting rid of compensation picks hurt bad clubs… early on, yes. But also, let’s incentivise teams winning and creating clubs players want to stay at.

Not sure what Richmond's plan is at 5 unless they are really keen on a Harris or Teixeira. Would prefer they try trade up to pick 4 now to pair van Hattum with one of Butler/Drever/Mellody
🚨 Richmond has secured Port Adelaide's pick No.5 in a trade. Deal is DONE and will be processed this afternoon, giving the Tigers picks 2 & 5.
Tigers get: Pick No.5
Port gets: Richmond's 2027 Rd1 pick, 2027 Rd2 pick, 2027 Rd4 pick and pick 22 this year.

"We are better off starting again. We are better off not having academies, father-sons, compensation picks. We are better off blowing the whole thing up. We should be using Tasmania as an opportunity to start again."

Not a lot of confidence from clubs as to whether this deal gets approved by the AFL. The league has been pouring over it for hours. @7AFL @1116sen @traderadio

Acceptable trade offers for Nick Blakey
Essendon - Pick 1 (get back James Rowbottom & Matt Roberts)
Geelong - Connor O'Sullivan
Gold Coast - Future 1st, Dylan Patterson & Charlie Ballard
North Melbourne - Pick 5, Blake Thredgold
St Kilda - Nothing
Sydney should hold Blakey until next trade period and send him to Tassie who will have picks 5, 7, 9 and 13 which they are required to trade

Did I just hear on @traderadio that 23 of the 46 players who featured in the futures game are tied to clubs in the 2027 draft?
