NO BACKDOOR DIGITAL ID: Freeze One Login Public opposition stopped the Government’s proposed national Digital ID scheme. But GOV UK One Login continues to expand across 250+ government services, functions and processes – including obligations people must fulfil, rather than merely optional “services”. We are calling for an immediate freeze on further expansion, a proper independent review and a legal guarantee that nobody will be forced – or financially pressured – to use it. 🚨🇬🇧 I might not be a rocket scientist, but something isn't adding up. The deeper I dig into PCS, NGOs and lobbying networks, the harder it is to believe the Civil Service Code is always being upheld. It demands honesty, objectivity and political impartiality and forbids civil servants from obstructing agreed government policy. Who's checking? Who's investigating? Who's being held accountable? Read the rules yourself: gov.uk/government/publicatio…

There are pensioners in the U.K. who live in small flats who pay £2,345 for Council Tax

They are paying for County council, District council and Parish council They already paid 5% Stamp Duty in the £10,000s to buy the house  In the words of this particular pensioner ‘This country is a complete f-ing rip off’ The ONLY solution is to build your own pension by investing in assets

🚨 WARNING: SOMETHING EXTREMELY BAD JUST HAPPENED A U.S. startup has successfully produced the FIRST REAL LAB-GROWN GOLD. And its process already beat CERN’s gold production by 10X. And they are not stopping there. Their model says a future 1 GW fusion plant could produce around 2 TONNES OF GOLD PER YEAR. This changes everything: For thousands of years, gold had one advantage nobody could replicate: SCARCITY. New supply could only come from finding more deposits, building more mines and pulling more metal out of the ground. Now technology is attacking that assumption directly. And we have already seen what happens when technology destroys a scarcity premium. DIAMONDS. Lab-grown diamonds entered the market: - Production scaled. - Prices collapsed. Natural diamonds suddenly had to compete with something chemically almost identical that could be produced at a fraction of the cost. Gold could now be facing the same problem. But this could be much bigger: Gold is not just jewelry. Central banks hold it. Governments hold it. ETFs hold it. Investors use it as a store of value. And entire reserve strategies depend on one assumption: YOU CANNOT JUST MANUFACTURE MORE GOLD. That assumption is now being challenged. And here is the part almost nobody understands: Marathon is not talking about building factories that exist only to make gold. Gold could become a BY-PRODUCT OF FUSION ENERGY. The reactor generates energy. It also generates neutrons. Those neutrons can convert mercury into gold. And the gold itself could help make fusion plants more profitable. Now connect the dots: More fusion plants → more gold production → more gold revenue → better fusion economics → even more reactors Gold supply has always been limited by GEOLOGY. If fusion scales, it becomes limited by REACTOR CAPACITY. And markets will NOT wait until tonnes of lab-grown gold are sitting inside vaults. They will price the expectation first. That is exactly how the diamond repricing started. And if fusion gold becomes commercially viable at scale... THE GOLD MARKET WILL NEVER BE THE SAME AGAIN. Remember, I’ve been trading markets for over 15 years. When I see the next major shift developing, I’ll post it here publicly like I always do. Turn notifications on. If you’re not following yet, you’ll understand why that was a mistake later.

The HMRC letter to the better off and the access to bank accounts to remove money is deeply sinister. Across all areas of economic policy, this Government basically says that to do well is to have them come for you.

Tesco “Rosedene Farms” branding conjures up the impression a cosy British orchard. The apples are from France. This is farmwashing: packaging designed to make imported food look local and dupe shoppers into thinking they’re buying British.

There is no way HMRC will make mistakes with or abuse these powers. There is no way 100s or 1000s will unfairly have money taken from their accounts, and then face a state refusing to accept it made a mistake. Thankfully, nothing in British history suggests this will happen.

Love this. The💰is still in the wallet. Finally we get some ground truth around how hard php2shell is to exploit. The amount of bullshit flying around from vendors capitalizing on the moment is staggering, And the alert fatigue they’re creating is really going to hurt when a mass exploitable RCE emerges. We still haven’t seen a production site hacked via #php2shell at Wordfence.
Someone has created a vulnerable PHP website, loaded it with a Bitcoin wallet, and challenged the Internet to hack into it and they can keep the Bitcoin. It has a running timer to show if the PHP exploitability was over-hyped. stealmybitcoin.com/

HMRC does not have a general free-standing power to demand a complete list of all your assets (or a full statement of assets and liabilities) outside checking your tax position under formal information powers, or in specific enquiry/settlement scenarios. However, if you fail to provide this information voluntarily, an enquiry would not be surprising. It’s quite inappropriate.

I don’t have £2 million in assets, and I don’t earn £200k a year. I’m quite short on both counts. So the HMRC wealth audit doesn’t impact me. Yet. But it signals a clear intention. A lack of respect for the individual. What is yours is only yours until the government decides they want it to fund further welfare expansion. Property rights only exist in this country as long as your holdings are meagre enough to escape the fiscal Eye of Sauron. They will come for it all.

"The Power of Love" was written for Back to the Future (1985) after Robert Zemeckis, Steven Spielberg and Bob Gale approached Huey Lewis about providing a song for the film. Lewis initially resisted because he did not want to write a song called "Back to the Future," so the filmmakers told him that he could simply submit the next song he and the band wrote. That song became "The Power of Love", Lewis also made a cameo in the film as the audition judge who rejects Marty McFly's band, telling them they are "just too darn loud." The track became Huey Lewis and the News' biggest hit and their first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1985. It also earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Song. The version Marty performs during the school audition is actually an early demo of the song rather than the finished single, making the scene an unusual piece of music history.
