I think it is likely that post 9/11 serial killer Israel Keyes was a military trained killer and asset. His case practically disappeared from media discourse shortly after his death. A quick, surface-level search into his background and history raises questions. He grew up in heavily infiltrated Mormon and Christian cults. In his late teens/early 20s, while not existing on paper, he joined the US Army in the late 90s to early 00s. While in the military, Keyes spent time in Tel Aviv, frequently traveling there while stationed in Egypt. After being honorably discharged from the military, Keyes went on a killing spree throughout the United States from approximately 2001-2012 (according to official docs), and thus went undetected for more than a decade. He is reported to have buried kill kits across the USA and committed the locations of these kits to memory without ever writing them down. While possible, this does sound like a fantastical story. Moreover, the FBI and law enforcement are unusually secretive about this case and portions of his military records are "missing" or are being withheld from the public.
