Happy Teaching!
Students at Jefferson Elementary are currently in our basketball skills unit practicing passing. We used @JoeyFeith Guard the Pin with the focus being quick but efficient passes, deceiving your opponent, and attacking a goal. Turned into a great lesson! #physed

❄️For kids growing up in a place where ice is part of life, it's so important for them to spend time playing on it, finding ways to balance, & figuring out how to navigate it.
👏You've created some awesome opportunities here that they will remember!

Children are more physically active when they play outside. #Recess is one of the few times in the school day for free play and social interaction without direct adult management. #TalkAboutRecess

Wish that I had kept this in mind in the spring when it felt like - no matter how hard I worked - I couldn’t get a win. Sharing it here in case any of my fellow #physed folk need to hear it before stepping into a new reality this fall. 🙌❤️💪

With my younger groups, I’ve shifted from formal, focus speed, agility, jump training to more free play and competition (social distanced of course). The kids love it and tend to work harder! Gotta thank @JeremyFrisch for a lot of the ideas! @SHSTigerPride
