Lane Johnson had a 66% winning percentage in career starts.
In just the Jalen Hurts era since 2021, the Eagles won 75% of games with him versus 41% without him. The Eagles score 4.7 more points per game (!!!) with him.

Breaking: the big tax bill with a provision to repeal the 90% cap on gambling losses was just overwhelmingly voted through, with bipartisan support, to the House Rules Committee. It’s a technical step before it goes to the House floor for a full vote.
The 90% cap on gambling losses would be repealed retroactive to 1/1/26 as part of the Ways & Means tax bill.
Joint Committee on Taxation estimates a negative impact on revenue of $2 billion from ‘27-36 from this repeal.
The ‘27-34 estimate is $1.5 billion, up 33% from its $1.1 billion estimate during same period.
Wonder if this means estimated tax payments from gamblers were higher than anticipated?

My FULL HOUSE Act is about bringing fairness back to our tax code. You should never be taxed on income you never actually received.

Drafts community, I have some not fun news to share. Right after kickoff on Wednesday, we will be shutting down Drafts in seven states: MA, MD, MI, MS, NJ, PA and OH. Already entered drafts will continue as normal, but in those states you won’t be able to enter new drafts. If you’re a drafter in one of those states, I’m really sorry.
This sucks, but I want to explain why.
Those states have taken a legal viewpoint we disagree with: if we offer our CFTC-licensed products we cannot offer fantasy sports in those states. So we had to choose. We could keep our fantasy licenses in those states, or surrender the licenses and offer effectively our full experience, minus Drafts.
It sucks. I love Drafts. It was the first game we ever launched and a big part of what built Underdog. Even though they don’t get anywhere near the usage of our other offerings, we still care deeply about them. And it pains me that we can’t do right by the Drafts community and offer the best experience possible to the most customers.
We have some ideas about how to get Drafts back to more customers, but it’s too early to commit to anything yet. I’m optimistic, and we’re definitely going to try. But until then, I don’t think there’s really anything I can say other than I’m sorry.

IRS GAMBLING HEARING UPDATE:
@PokerCPAs tells me his firm submitted an outline for it & will speak at the hearing on Friday, July 17.
Big in that a) it ensures there will be a hearing, b) an active practitioner who is well-versed in gambling tax issues will speak & c) it lessens the burden on individuals needing to come forth who may be uncomfortable doing so.
Speaking about one's own tax situation in a public setting directly to the IRS panel with your real name out there is tricky. Members of the panel will be intimately familiar with the 90% rule and regulation text. They *may* also ask you questions after your statement.
That said, I think some individuals contributing through prepared, written statements can bring value. You also don't have to speak about your own specific situation & can use your time to help educate the panel on yours or others' experiences.
No guarantee but I wouldn't be surprised if they do accept more speakers who submit outlines in the next day or two. Deadline was technically July 7 but mention that the 5-day submission period included the July 4 holiday.
Counter-productive: Venting or complaining, especially if it's that the 90% rule makes it hard to be a pro gambler. Complaining that people will go to offshore, prediction markets, sweepstakes, etc. Bringing up case law or tax memos if you are not yourself a tax pro or lawyer. I would leave that up to PokerCPAs or other professionals who speak.
This hearing can't, by itself, undo the 90% rule. It's law.
My hope is that the IRS panel hears some examples of fact patterns that will help educate them & lend to implementing this rule in a "fair and just" way. Who knows... it may open the door for more public input opportunities on gambling tax policy as a whole.

11 left in the deuce, honor to be playing with Billy Baxter. Some of you guys don't know, especially the youngsters but aside from being one of the greatest lowball players ever, Billy argued a gambling income tax case in front of the Supreme Court and won lol. They were comin for his poker money he said hold up, and charmed the government 😭. Still topical today though, and he was of course right. Let's work
Yesterday I got a 2nd,3rd,4th,5th,6th,8th,9th in Online MTTs. Had me thinking, I wonder if anyone has ever “hit the cycle” of FT placements in one day.

@KmartPoker I got spoiled by the thumbnail before I could finish 21 hours of the uncut videos for Poker Wars on who the finalists are. No longer have the desire to finish it out, hate being spoiled. Kinda wish it was released only as edited episodes officially anyways. (1/2)
@KmartPoker I love the premise of the shows and a lot of the strategy behind the show. As well as the cast. Honestly wish it were a bit bigger even! Love some of the different segments and overall think you smashed it. Just wish a few things posting wise were different. (2/2)
